This cruise offered amazing entertainment and the cruise director, Leon, was fantastic!

This was our first cruise. I consider myself to be very frugal and practical, so considering the cost of a cruise, I had pretty high expectations and was not sure they would be met. They were exceeded by the outstanding staff, their level of service, kindness and attention to detail. Was told this was not one of the newest or biggest ships in the fleet, but it had received some recent renovations. Still, my expectations were tempered. The boat was very clean and well maintained and did not appear dated. We thoroughly enjoyed the Carnival Paradise.

The Paradise is a fun ship!. The food was excellent. The staff is amazing.

May 2018: The Paradise has been completely refurbished & looks absolutely awesome!!! The rooms & corridors have been greatly improved & have a nice, comfy, modern feel! The beds have new mattresses that are more comfortable than any other ship we’ve ever been on (May was cruise #17, so we’ve experienced a few!). The cabin steward & staff were EXCELLENT & the wait staff in the dining room was the best ever!! But I’m saving the absolute best for last...the CD, Leon, was by far the best I’ve ever had and it was his first trip as CD!!! He had several things to deal with his first time out: tropical storm and another incident at sea, but he handled it all with grace & superior professionalism! He is so personable & friendly and was always out & about onboard. Every time he saw us, it was like seeing an old friend! The trip was my second on the Paradise, but def not the last...I came home & booked another one (for the exact same room & all) for the beginning of September and cannot wait to go again on this fabulous ship!!!

It was a great 1st cruise for my kids. And although I really did miss the dive in movie theater, carnival water works was awesome to have.

Smaller ship than some of the past ones I've been on, but definitely enjoyed just as much. The kids absolutely loved water works and so did I! Wish it would have had the dive in movie theater though.

This was our first cruise, we had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the food, shows, comedians. Leon our CD is Awesome. Sweca our room Stewart was very friendly, we stopped to say hi each time we saw him. Olga our waitress was amazing. Guys Burger, YUM! Love the Paradise.

I have a complaint but still giving 5 rating. We had a blast on our Wedding Anniversary cruise. Sadly we learned very quickly to avoid the lido deck pool and buffet at all costs. Walked thru buffet ,tried some food and it was terrible. The lido deck was a joke . Full of serious drunks. Walked on starboard side and the smell of vomit just hit you in the face. A lady was puking from being overly intoxicated. Small children near the pool and some lady was twerking her butt off so much that boobs flopped out of her way to small bikini and remained with the boobs hanging out for over 20 minutes laughing. A few drunks were throwing lit cigarette butts over the ship and the wind caught one and it flew back and burned a lady on the face. I found the rest of the ship to more fun for us.

The ship overall was better than expected. The Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades (Guys Burgers, Red Frog Rum Bar, and the 2 Blue Iguana venues) were well done and fit well on this smaller ship. There were places where you can see the ship showing it's age bit all in all it was in good shape. Food was well prepared and a nice variety (at least in the main dining room) and we never waited more than maybe 15 minutes for a table (we had Your Time Dinning). The biggest surprise was the new cruise director Leon (we were only his 2nd cruise), he was fantastic. He made it so that you wanted to get up in the morning to see his Morning Show. The only down side to the entire cruise was the money we wasted on the Faster to the Fun Excursion. Embarkation was so bad that we ended up waiting 2.5 hours to board without so much as an explanation as to why, or an apology for making us stand that long (not enough seats in the waiting area). So the $70 spent on FTTF was a total waste because even after we finally got onboard, our luggage which was to arrive early didn't get there until that evening. And since we boarding took so long, all cabins were already done, so no advantage there. Still no official word from Carnival as to why.

We had a blast on this ship. My son enjoyed camp carnival and the hubby and I enjoyed the activities around the ship. Our stewards were very accommodating. If I had to complain about anything it would only be the room service menu. Some items you now have to purchase and there is a time limit on how late you can order. I miss waking up in the middle of the night ordering food.... but I used my on board credit for food purchases so it was a win. Even though this ship was a bit older and smaller... it did not diminish our experience. 😁

Had a fantastic time... first cruise given to me by my son and his fiance for Mother's Day.... I had the time of my life...

May 12-17th review! Second time cruiser and overall it was a amazing vacation. We purchased FFTF and it worked well with bypassing the long lines. We were on the boat less then 10mins after we arrived. We had a small delay with receiving our luggage right away but oh well we lived! The staff was helpful and friendly and Leon the cruise director was a ball of fun. We stayed in cabin G2 on deck 14. Room was amazing and larger then expected, the floor to ceiling windows made the view breathtaking. The only bad thing I would say is that there was a lot of movement everyday at night and some noise underneath us. Even with that is wasn't something that stopped us from enjoying ourselves. Ipung our room steward was always available and made sure we were taken care of. We stayed busy with activities like comedy shows, games, plays and just hanging out on the lido deck. We stopped at Mahogany Bay were we took the Bird & Monkey's tour through carnival and enjoined every moment. We had a great tour guide that gave us lots of information and culture about Honduras. Our next stop in Cozumel we did the all day all inclusive Mr. Sanchos and let me tell you we didn't want to leave! The water was warm and the drinks were always coming! The food selection was nice and tasty. No complaints here, we're things perfect no but I'm fine with that, we still had the time of our life! Two cruises down two planned 2019 and 2020! Feel free to ask anything I may not have mention... HAPPY CRUISING

Loved the Paradise! Leon the CD was awesome! Full of energy and upbeat! Food was great. Shows were great! No complaints!

The cruise was good. We took my elderly mother who used a cane and the staff was very helpful. Guy Fieri burgers were excellent. We had a strong odor of urine in our cabin bathroom. Bring some room freshener. The pool is small on this ship but we had a good time. Serenity deck for guests over 21 filled up fast with lots of people saving chairs for people who never even showed up.

The ship is pretty small and we ran out of things to do when the weather was bad. The entertainment was amazing and we enjoyed both ports and excursions! The staff was pretty good but not as engaged as other ships!

I rated 3 stars only because I have nothing to compare it to. The ship was clean, the majority of the staff were very friendly. Some of the bartenders were rude and expecting additional tips above the 15% I was required to pay. They didnt deserve the 15%, let alone additional. The casino was smokey, but no worse than a land based casino. Music was WAY too loud and I attempted to avoid it as much as possible. I'm not a fan of the nickle and diming and will work to eliminate that next time. The spa staff were incredible! Our steward, Cristano, and one of the servers, Leilani, were absolutely awesome!! Overall, I would travel on this ship again.

This was a great cruise nothing went wrong.The only thing was the cabin U 5 was not too good,who cares

We loved having a brand new upgraded ship for our honeymoon. We got a suite on the Grand Deck and the views up there were absolutely amazing.

Great cruise! Always fun on the fun ship. Cuba was great and humbling at the same time. Everyone should experience it if they can. The people are great and really are happy to see tourists.

I really enjoy my cruise 🚢 the best part of it was the group of Spanish Dominican group singer we had n we dance almost every night n hubby won a trophy 🏆
