Review summary

This was our first cruise. I consider myself to be very frugal and practical, so considering the cost of a cruise, I had pretty high expectations and was not sure they would be met. They were exceeded by the outstanding staff, their level of service, kindness and attention to detail. Was told this was not one of the newest or biggest ships in the fleet, but it had received some recent renovations. Still, my expectations were tempered. The boat was very clean and well maintained and did not appear dated. We thoroughly enjoyed the Carnival Paradise.

By far, the most surprising aspect of our cruise was the level of service we received. We were blown away by the outstanding staff. Everyone from the stateroom stewards to the dining room staff were so focused on our satisfaction, it was very humbling.

Stingray City is a must for anyone who loves marine life interaction. Highly recommend Rowan Watersports Ltd. for this excursion. It's a smaller company that truly does an amazing job.

Cozumel, Mexico

Spent the day at Chankanaab and had an amazing time swimming with the manatees. There is so much to do at this park even when your scheduled animal encounter is over. We enjoyed snorkeling, the free sea lion show (even got to kiss a sea lion), saw lots of iguanas and amazing views lounging on the beach.

I did the imagination for my first last September. Was renovated with water park and guys. To me it was a great starter cruise. Doing paradise late June.
