Highlights:
Chef's Table!
Dining room dinners
Staff/Service
Lowlights:
Lukewarm hot tubs
Very long wait to get off and into Key West!
Misinformation - Did not know what deck to disembark! Information given regarding how to activate the beverage package on our sign and sail cards. Was told to go to a specific cafe on the ship to get it activiated only to find out that the cafe did not exist. Family members where given instructions to show up on a specific day for a casino tournament only to find out that no one knew anything about it. They were told to come back the next day.
Embarkation

Quick embarkation. From drop off to into the room it took all of 15 minutes or less! Hardly any waiting.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
For the first time in no less than 5 cruises, my husband and I ate just about all of our dinners in the dining room! The food was very tasty and the service was wonderful even when we dined at the height of the dinner hour. Also....we had Chef's Table! That was the 2nd highlight of the cruise and I will go on Chef's table on any Carnival cruise going forward. The service, food and presentation was absolutely wonderful! What an experience.
Onboard Activities

While in Havana (which was an overnight stop) there was absolutely nothing scheduled after 1045 pm. Being on the Fun Ships - I expected things to do well into the wee hours. We were at the night club (and we are 55+ years old - and yes, we were at the night club!) on all days of the cruise except the overnight in Havana which had no DJ on that night. There was no comedy that night either...nothing to do and old movies on the TV in the cabin...
Entertainment

The DJ in the night club was great and the one show we went to was also wonderful.
Service and Staff

The amazing thing about the ship (which is older and smaller than what we normally cruise on) was that all the staff was fabulous! Have nothing but accolades for all the staff. There was a small bar in the back of the ship near the comedy club that had a bartender who served us sample martinis and sample moscow mules (for a fee) but he was absolutely entertaining and great! Would definitely look for him again.
Ship Quality

The elevators started and stopped on floors that were interesting. For example, the atrium elevators stopped at deck 5 and the other elevators stopped at 7 in some places (midship I believe) and it created a hard to remember and follow issue where we sometimes had to walk a quarter of the ship to get one level down. Can be confusing.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was definitely smaller. No sofa but we had a balcony. I guess you gave up the sofa for the balcony. That was interesting. It was definitely a smaller cabin though. Enough storage for 2 people. Can't imagine 3 being in there or kids...
Ship tip
If you book an excursion in Key West outside of the Carnival excursions please, please, please be aware of the time it takes to get off the ship as you can't walk ANYWHERE from where we were docked...
Key West was beautiful! DEBARKATION WAS HORRIBLE! Please know that if you dock at the naval area you will be quite far away from the city of Key West...as much as 20 minutes away. We missed our excursion because of needing to take the trolley into town. It two over 45 minutes to debark, get a trolley with hundreds of other passengers, and then walk to the excursion store where we purchased a trip. We were going to snorkel but had to go on another excursion because we missed the snorkel boat due to getting off of the cruise ship and having to wait for the trolley...it was very disappointing.
