Review summary

We sailed on the Paradise right before it went into dry dock for remodeling, and loved the improvements that were made. The new mini golf was beautiful and the new water slides were awesome!!!!! Wish they had a 2nd pool for children.

Embarkation

Embarkation went fairly fast. The only complaint is that some of the employees at the escalators get too pushy about holding on to the rail!! Children and the elderly....yes! Sometimes you just have too much to carry to be able to free up a hand to hold the rail....an elbow or arm work just as well!!! Grownups don't like being treated like small children.

All of the food was excellent. Would like to see lobster tails back on the regular menu. Would also like to be able to buy a drink package without having to get one for both adults in the cabin. Only 1 of us likes to drink.

Everything was great. Would love to see them install a 2nd pool for children though. There were several times when there were too many drinking adults in the pool and hot tubs. We did like the fact that a lifeguard has been added!! Also loved the new slides and the refurbished mini golf!!! We also like the new way of viewing and purchasing the pictures that are taken by the ship photographers. Much easier to find your own photos rather than having to look through thousands of photos of strangers!!!! And being able to purchase digital copies is super!!! Makes it so much easier and less expensive to share them with your family.

Our service team was the best we have ever had. Roberto, Victor and Askinder were fantastic. They greeted us by name every night and knew what we wanted to drink. Roberto treated our grands like his own children. He visited with them, danced with them during the staff show, brought a magician to our table to entertain them, encouraged them to try new things, brought them extras, and even found the recipe for the melting lava cake that they loved. Even though we were "any time dining", the girls asked to sit in their section nightly and insisted on getting a picture with them on the last night. These fine men all deserve to be promoted asap!!! Our room steward, Agung, was also terrific. He cleaned our room twice a day, made sure we had enough pillows and towels, and made adorable towel animals that inspired our girls to buy a book to learn how to make them themselves.
