Review summary

This was an awesome trip for myself and my wife!  We really enjoyed the Cozumel Twister excursion, and we rented a scooter in Key West for less than $60 for a full day.  I had been on a cruise before, however, it was my wife's first.  I had been apprehensive about the reviews for the Paradise before leaving.  I feel a great deal of them are unjustified, as the Paradise is a fantastic ship with lots to do to keep you occupied.  The food was excellent and plentiful.  We thought the comedy shows were a little too much on the vulgar side, but nothing worth complaining about as others seemed to enjoy it.  We did stay on the lowest deck, where they had a fan to air out the carpet, but I did not notice any bad odors at all.  Being near the back of the ship was a little noisy, but that was understandable.  Next time we just won't book the back of the ship!  All in all a great time was had and I would definitely cruise on the Paradise again!

Jonathan was awesome! Our cabin was kept immaculate, and he greeted us with a smile every time!

Ship tip

Don't be afraid to say no to pictures! That part of it was a little overbearing, thankfully we weren't pressured to purchase one every time our photo was taken.

We were on the Paradise cruise that departed April 29th, 2017 and we had a wonderful time. It was my partners first cruise and I was apprehensive about the reviews as well. although we were diverted to Costa Maya instead of Key West we DID have a great time on the Paradise, so much so that we booked another cruise on the Paradise in October 2018, after it goes through it's month long renovation drydock in February. We met some wonderful people from a Facebook group that we joined before the cruise and many of us will be traveling on the same cruise in October 2018. We are so looking forward to it. The Paradise, while an older ship, is in great shape and although there were signs of wear and tear, it was to be expected from an almost 20 year old ship.

Yes, they were both open and not too crowded.

We leave on the Paradise in two weeks! I have been worried about all the bad reviews, so I am happy to read yours. What about the pools, were they both opened?

Great review. We've done the Twister excursion twice. once with the kids, once without. We had a blast both times.

Thanks for the great reviews. I have been on many cruise lines and ship. I have never had any problems that could not be fixed with a few kind words of letting someone know what the problem was. Some folk are just over spoiled and think they are in titled with out regards to other. I will be on this ship in April 2018.
