Cruise with my sister.

We flew into lax at 7.30am we were gonna take a uber. I was at the restroom door when I saw a lady who worked for carnival shuttle my sister asked her if we could get a 1 way ride to the port,she said yes so we followed her to the baggage area and waited until 9am it took about 45min.after we got to the piera lady got on the bus and asked us if any of us had any questions. We didn't have a check in time until 1230 so I asked if we could go in or if we had to wait outside. She said that would not make anyone wait outside.We all had to wait outside about 30min while people were still getting off the ship. The check in was pretty quick,we waited another 30min before guests were let on,we got onabout the time we were suppose to.We ammediately did our muster drill it was A4 in the liquid lounge it was less than 5min.

Guys pig and anchor BBQ buffet their was no line .I was thinking of the BBQ for months and honestly it was a let down,the pork was tough and the potatoes in the potato salad were very large wedges and the beans were cold the beef was good.We had dinner in the horizon MDR every night at 8.15pm The food I had in the MDRnew England clam chowder,shrimp cocktail,mozzarella sticks,tart with braised kale blackened pork tenderloin,morroccan pumpkin harina soup,stuffed mushrooms and steamed mussels were all (GOOD) The fried calamari,meatballs,sweet and sour shrimp,fried oysters lobster tail , veal parmesan,braised ox tongue,and the Chesapeake crab cake were (VERY GOOD) The braised short ribs,roasted broccoli +3 cheese soup were(EXCELLENT) The frog legs,escargot and the caprese salad was very disappointing I've had them on every other cruise and loved them this time thay needed more garlicky were like it was just plain oil.The beef lasagna was(AWFUL) do yourself a favor if you want (EXCELLENT)lasagna get it in the cucina delcapitano not in the mdr.for desserts I had tropical fruit plate ,carnival melting chocolate cake,ice cream,double roasted pineapple and a small banana split fom the kids menu that were all(Good).Had breakfast at the buffet their wasn't much to choose from.At brunch in the VISTA Mdr I had the aft deck burger(VERY GOOD)cheese sticks from the kids menu(GOOD)Banana cream pie,butterscotch ice cream(NOT GOOD)assorted cookies(GOOD)Signature tower shrimp salad(GOOD)Smoked salmon (GOOD).The guys burger joint was(GOOD) The salad bar at the serenity deck was(GOOD).I had a taco bowl with shrimp and chicken at the blueiguana cantina it was (EXCELLENT)The best meal I had on the cruise.From the deli I had a Reubens was (GOOD)but it didn't have sauerkrautor Russian dressing.i also had Cuban mixato(VERY GOOD) and a B LT(LOTS OF BACON)(GOOD).I had lunch at jijis their was no line,the won tons and sweet and sour sauce was(VERY GOOD) the cellophane noodles with soy sauce was salty and spicy I took 2 bites then I left.I had a fungi pizza and a Quatro formaggipizza with mushrooms both were(VERY GOOD)Best I've had on a cruise.Ihad a little shrimp and grits and beef roast at the ocean plaza buffet both were (VERY GOOD)I tried hazelnut and raspberry Gelato didn't like either one.The soft serve chocolate ice cream was(GOOD)The only extra cost food I bought was a island delight shake good flavor but was very thin it was like milk couldn't tell their wasice cream in it.

I played mini golf by myself(NOT GOOD) a 30 it was on 2 decks I didn't like that.its opened from 7am to 10pm .I went to the motown party .I dressed up for the 80s rock n glow party.i went to the sail away party and the Halloween party it was nice seeing people in costumes I was gonna wear a grench costume but I couldn't fit it in my suitcase.I also went to their silent disco that was a lot of fun I danced at all the parties. I played a lot of trivia Harry potter,70s songs,general knowledge,fairy tales,broadway,Broadway, and cats and dogs,tv theme songs,outrageous laws,golden girls(I tied and then I won the tie breaker)so I got me a ship on a stick.and I won a metal for a group game like trivia pursuit.I saw all the Broadway type shows all were (GOOD)but the seats up front were hard and uncomfortable and the views were blocked in other seats.My sister and I saw love and marriage show it was funny as always.i saw the welcome aboard show and watched a thriller dance class.I listened to Scott Sing in the 88 keys he was funny singing a song about old Mcdonald if the animals were cloned .Sat by the aft pool a couple of days alot of people and in the spa 1 day that was nice.

Same as above plus the dj during 80s night played a BON JOVI song that didn't come out until 2000 i told him that and he said well thay we're a 80s band right .I said that we're around in the 80s but you could have played living on a prayer or you give love a bad name or wanted dead or alive or many other songs of theirs from the 80s.

Our cabin was 3250 we asked for 2 twin beds instead we got a queen I told our room steward he changed them .the main problem with that cabin was we payed for a handicapped accessible window room because my sister thought she was gonna need a scooter.she only needed a walker(wich she couldn't get through the door by herself so she ended up leaving it in the cabin and stayed in the front of the ship most of the time .and the cabin was smaller than what we paid for. And she went to guest services to complain about the walker problem and no window and at first the woman said their was nothing she could do ,then she gave her 4 drink coupons and told her to call carnival When she got home we are still waiting.Most of the workers were friendly all but 1 day at brunch the waiter was very rude so my sister told the manager that the guy was having a bad day and the manager said my waiters don't have bad days if they do that come to me ,he asked her if we were having dinner in the MDR and she said yes so he said he would see us there,later that night he came to are table and asked if our service was good she told them are servers were great we had no problems with them he asked if he could get us each a glass of wine we said that would be nice. he ended up giving us a bottle of Reunite lambrusco a Italian red wine(VERY GOOD).

I liked the ships lay out and it was clean I just don't like the liquid lounge with poles and people blocking views to the stage.

For 2 people the size was alright only1 closet with hangers and 1 closet with shelves.And 1ketut kept.it nice and clean . Best part no long hallway to walk down and close to elevators and horizon mdr.
