Coughing, sneezing, Covid everywhere, and bad food.

It was kind of a mess but as we soon found out much better than debarkation.

Food and Dining
1 out of 5
I didn’t think food this bad existed. There are only a few good things to eat and then you eat only that and get sick of it. The burgers were okay, the pizza was absolutely inedible, and I couldn’t stomach eating anything by the end. Maybe everyone is drunk and that makes the food taste okay? We did no specialty dining but shouldn’t have to in order to get edible food. On our way home we got Taco Bell and that tasted gourmet after eating carnival food.
I think o will feel sick at the mention of carnival cruises from now going forward, it makes my stomach churn.
If you have any dietary need then you’re out of luck too. My wife is celiac(requires gluten free) and the “menu mate” person who is supposed to know what’s in the food had no idea about any of it. They had to ask and even then most weren’t sure. The gluten free bread was bad, the pizza was even worse, and it seems bread is all they think you need to survive.
Pizza Pirate

So bad. I tried a few but I couldn’t stomach it. Regular or gluten free the pizza was nasty and inedible.

Entertainment

Some of the shows were good but otherwise, not much to do and the activities were kind of bad.
Children's Programs

This seems to be the one place carnival excels. Our daughter loved going to the kids place and had a great time meeting other kids.
Service and Staff

The service was so good it was annoying which is in itself bad. They pester you to leave the room constantly so they can clean it. I just want to hang out because I don’t want to do anything out there!

Ship tip
If you haven’t had Covid, you will get it no matter what the cdc numbers say. The case rate isn’t less than .3% it’s just that nobody is reporting it. The entire ship was one huge sniffle and cough by the end.
This would depend on your tour of any but we did mendenhall glacier which is a joke, do yourself a favor and watch a documentary on glaciers instead. The whale watching was cool though.
Of you’re not into thrill seeking then this is a major bite and tourist trap. They couldn’t have removed more of the local native culture from this place if they tried.
Do you have the covid stats for land based all inclusive holiday resorts? For airport staff? Gyms? Offices? Or is it just cruise ships you think should be scrutinised? Don’t cruise, holiday on land instead and take your chances there, let’s see how you get on. It’s everywhere and I’m willing to take the risk and get on with my life. Hope you’re not too poorly but we need to stop pointing the finger.
Sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise on the Miracle. Completely different than my 5 day cruise on the Miracle except for getting covid. It's been 10 days and I still show positive for covid. I'm sure the 10 day cruises are riskier. I'll find out during my September cruise to Alaska. At least on the shorter cruises you don't find out if you have covid until you get back.
Hmmm. Glad that the Panorama was many times better that this cruise. But unfortunately there are issues that some folks trip over due to the Covid and other issues in the world.
