Review summary

This was our first cruise back since the pandemic. Overall we had a wonderful time and can't wait to sail again in just over 30 days. This time the Majestic Princess. Things are different for sure but this is still probably about the best value for your dollar in a getaway. I personally am so glad cruising is back.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5

24-Hour Room Service

3 out of 5

The only drawback to the buffet was the lack of variety. If you didn't want what was on the menu in the MDR then the buffet was virtually the same except for the sandwiches and pizza option. I don't mind paying for room service but the options are very few now. Hopefully as things improve so will that menu.

Bacchus Dining Room

5 out of 5

The staff and food in Bacchus were both top notch . We ate there twice for dinner and on both occasions dinner was wonderful.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The staff on the ship were all very nice and provided excellent service. The one drawback was on my cruise I rarely saw my room attendant and so that service was lacking a bit. It may be due to protocols and hopefully will get back to normal soon.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The Miracle is a fine ship but her design is definitely showing her age as the decor is very dated.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
So this was my first time booking a category 4K cabin. It is considered an interior room but it has two very large windows with an obstructed view. My cabin 4195 was right between two lifeboats so you could see the ocean and outside plus you had these nice big windows with natural light. I really enjoyed this cabin and would book it again in the future.

Ship tip

Just turn off the electronics and relax and enjoy yourself.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
How much higher is this parking going to get $23 a day is ridiculous.

Ensenada, Mexico

5 out of 5
Ensenada is great. I have seen it all pretty much we just walk into town and shop and maybe grab a bite. La Buffadora is a really cool place to visit and if you are a wine drinker there are many choices of places to see for wine tasting and vineyards.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
I love Cabo . We walked around town. It really has changed since the last time we were there. It has lots to do there and there is always something going on.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Debarkation in Cabo with tendering was a disaster and in Long Beach it wasn't much better. The Cabo experience falls on the crew but in Long Beach it was the passengers. In the future I will wait in my room longer and then wait to leave the ship.
