Review summary

Overall was good! I loved Hawaii, its nature, places, stories and the history facts about it was awesome. But I am not very impressed about some crew, I think they still are very focused on just White American people and not appreciating the money from other tourists who happen to be not white.

Well I shared my experience, I was not trying to convince anyone here, even though you don’t want to see it, racism still exist and we get it from the minority people like me. But thanks for your comments

To those who are casting shade on the writer of the review, may I remind you if you were not there & did not witness the interaction - how do you know there was nothing to it? The crew is diverse, but it doesn't mean they are immune from bias. Even if they are of color themselves, it doesn't mean they could not feel that a white passenger might expect a different level of service. I know that on a different cruise line, my son (in his 20s) and had his own cabin was pretty much ignored while the crew busted their backsides working to please the old couples assigned to them. They basically left his cabin untouched for service, until I pointed out to them their tip would reflect the level of service provided. We are all human, and crew are not perfect either. If you weren't there, you don't really know what the guy who wrote the review experienced - you are assuming things were fine because they should be fine.

I don’t know about the money part, but I will share that our waiter asked me if I was American before I married my American Husband. I responded by letting him know I was born and raised in Chicago.

Focused on white American people???? That’s just a stupid uncalled for comment. Those workers on the ship don’t give a damn what color you are. You will be treated just as well as the next guest. And yes they do appreciate a monetary tip for the awesome service they provide.

Thanks for playing the Race card. I hope to NEVER Cruise with you. I believe these ships are the most Diverse group of people you will ever get together.
