Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was mediocre at best and usually served cold. We also had a child allergic to dairy and there very limited options available for her, which was surprising.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were ok. However, one pool was frequently closed and the other pool allowed smoking. The water slide wasn't great and the kids kept getting stuck.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Cute shows that engaged the children.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Kids enjoyed going to the Kids Club one afternoon. They had fun crafts and games.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was exceptional. They all took the time to learn our names and preferences, which made the kids feel very special.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Room was quite small and the upper bunk and lower bunk were very uncomfortable. The upper bunk had a very small guard rail, so it would not be appropriate for a child to sleep up there. It was too uncomfortable for an adult to sleep up there either though.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

Cozumel, Mexico

We did the "All Inclusive Chankanaab Beach Day & Sea Lion Show" in Cozumel. I don't recall the exact pricing, but it was expensive....particularly after we arrived and realized admission to Chankanaab was $2 per person and was only about a 5 minute drive from the port. Definitely not worth the price of the excursion.

Belize City, Belize

Unfortunately, you have to tender to get to shore. Given winds, they stopped the tenders for a chunk of the morning and cancelled all excursions that involved water. We (and many others) ended up staying on the ship, however, no activities were going on that day. I was surprised and disappointed that they didn't have activities on standby for times this occurs.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

We did the "Pirates, Birds & Monkeys of the Caribbean" excursion. It was very fun to interact with the monkeys, but it was only about 20 minutes of the total excursion.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We enjoyed the "Dolphin Encounter and Turtle Center" excursion. Highly recommend for young children!

Disembarkation

While not the fault of Carnival, there was only 1-2 people working in Customs the day we had to disembark in Tampa. We had to be out of our room by 8:30am, but didn't get through customs until about 10am (and we paid extra to get a porter to take us through a special line).
