Review summary

As a seasoned cruiser, I would say that NY has the quickest embarkation I have ever seen. It was breathtaking to cruise past the Statue of Liberty on the way out of the harbor. It was neat to see the other boat traffic with the busy city. The cruise was awesome. Staff was great and we were what we have come to expect from Carnival. My least favorite part was the other cruisers. I find that each port you depart, you take some of that areas residents with out on the ship. I found on this cruise the other cruisers were rude and inconsiderate. Cutting lines in the buffets and just generally rude. I havnt had this occurrence since. We have avoided cruising out of NY. This may have been coincidence.

Getting to the port was about the worst part, nothing the cruise line can help, just normal travel through NY. Once we got to the terminal, we basically walked right on the ship. No lines at all. Shows a level of efficiency I havnt seen in other ports.

Probably my favorite private island. The sand is pristine and the water is perfect. Really enjoy the island barbecue while there.
