Review summary
This was my husband and I first cruise. We were very impressed with the crew, captain, the stewards, and the fun squad. Our first port of call was suppose to be Cozumel Mexico, however, hurricane Michael said nope! So we had an extra sea day instead of Mexico in order to keep us safe. We stayed North of Cuba until the storm made his way northward. We sailed on to Belize. We did an excursion there; the Myan ruins. We had a wonderful tour guide on the bus. She told us all bout her country and her city. Many points of interest. It was SO hot at the ruins it was hard to focus on the tour guide there. Also the mosquitos were so bad, so take bug spray! We had to buy some at the port and it set us back $15.00! BRING YOUR OWN! We had beach days at both Mahogany Bay and Grand Bay. We LOVED Mahgony Bay! We rode the Magic chairs which was so cool! Good photo ops of your cruise ship from this port. You must take water shuttles at Belize port, your 5 miles off shore, and a short water shuttle at Grand Cayman. Carnival Miracle is due a major facelift in 2020 cause she is an older ship. At that time they will be putting in Redfrog Pub and Guy’s Burgers. Food on ship right now is ok. Nothing to write home about. For our first cruise, and being in 15ft swells due to the hurricane, I was never worried. The captain and cruise director made sure we our safety is first! We may have missed a port, but we’re still alive and there will be other cruises.Embarkation
