Review summary
I sailed on the Carnival Miracle from April 22-29th with my two stepdaughters and their families ages 3-14. I have been on 15 cruises, many of them with Carnival. I must say, the fun factor is gone on Carnival. The lack of a social director out on deck during the midday is very noticeable. As are BBQs on deck. No live band during the noontime hours by pool. The Miracle sorely lacking in amenities. No outdoor movie screen (common these days), just one specialty restaurant, no special features other than mini-golf. You basically have two choices for food: buffet and main dining room. While we enjoyed the comic acts, the shows were all very similar singing and dancing with little variety. The water slide in the back of the ship was slow and poorly placed. The Dr. Suess characters need to be more visible. Movies are nice but you need to have at least one that is animated and geared for the 3-10 yr old crowd.
