Review summary

The port of Long Beach had to wait 3 hours plus before we got on the ship.  Very unorganized and not enough carnival personnel directing you to the correct line to get in.  This is the worst port to check in but was better getting off if you did the self assist embarkation.  The dinning room food was not consistent everyday.  Some days it was good and some days it wasn't good.  Excursion were expensive but did enjoy each one.  Recommend booking excursions before you sail to get them paid for.  Enjoyed each port in Hawaii and had great weather the whole time.  I would book this cruise again and hope that the check in is much improved the next time.

The young man that took care of our cabin was very good. We called him I. He knew our first names and always greet us coming or going. Very attentive to our needs. We did give him an extra tip on the last night of the cruise.

Ship tip

We have had a balcony the last 3 cruises and I really enjoy it. Once you have a balcony you are spoiled.

Boarded the Inspiration yesterday and walked right onto the ship again with fttf. Looked like there was a bit of a wait without it. Friends arrived about 2 and there were no lines at all.

Hubby and I are also doing the Hawaiian cruise in November. Have sailed from LB several times and have had long waits and short ones too. Would have liked to get FTTF but it was sold out this time

We are taking the Hawaiian cruise in November. Ty for the advice about boarding!

I've boarded twice from LB, both times right at 11 and pretty much walked right onto the ship with FTTF. Not once did I wait in any lines.

we have been out of that port many times, it helps not to show up early. we usually get there 1 hour before sailing

Nothing would help you get on the ship any faster in long beach . We are platinum and and that didn't help . Cruising from that port 4 time and each time is the same. So disorganized ! That being said we had a fantastic time, Hawaii was amazing !

Maybe try FTTF next time? That would give you priority check in.
