Review summary

I have sailed on many lines including Carnival in the past and at least for our sailing this was the type of cruise that gives Carnival its tarnished reputation. I would say if you get a good deal go for it. Just be prepared for a 3 star experience and make certain you are not paying premium rates.

They were the grumpiest crew I have ever had. Towards the end we discovered that for much of the crew this was the last trip before returning home. I think they were all tired of dealing with stupid vacationers.

The ship was a nice layout and modern but did not seem as well kept as other ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

Nice room and balcony. Over the life rafts limiting the view slightly. Less wind then other balconies tend to have this would be great in cool climates but the breeze is missed in the tropics.

If you are going on a longer cruise look at some of the hotels that let you park for free in exchange for staying a night before or after your cruise, Including on the Queen Mary that shares a parking lot. It can be less expensive than $17 a day for parking.

Walmart is a short walk if you need any essentials, you will see it from the ship. Just past the shops when you exit the ship head towards the water and you will find a path to a nice stretch of beach. The gate does close at sunset.

Look for the beach to the left of the port when tenders take you in. It is a great little beach and the shortest walk from the tenders.
