Review summary
Poor weather and rumored mechanical problems resulted in a very late arrival at the first port of call. This affected all our following ports of call and we didn't even get to visit Maui. We only got to do 2 of the 5 shore excursions we had booked. The cruise line did reimburse us for the missed excursions (we had booked these through Carnival) and they also gave a $200 credit to all the passengers. I know the weather is out of our control, but I suspect the mechanical problems may have played a role in the delays we experienced.
Our cabin was nice and the food was ok. The coffee was terrible and we had to pay for a semi-decent cup of coffee. I should add the shows in the evening were excellent and the music was really good. Unfortunately we heard that the cruise line is getting rid of the live music. That will be a real shame and is one more reason we would probably not go on another cruise.

Ship tip
Don't take a cruise on this ship until it has been refurbished. It is getting tired-looking and they are having mechanical problems that they don't tell people about. There was apparently a story on CNN while we were at sea, about the Miracle having problems.
