Ship: Carnival Miracle

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Review summary

This is one of the newest ships and the number of balconies was evident compared to other ships we saw in ports. It was beautiful and fun to enjoy on days at sea. Food was better than anticipated, including the stations at the buffet and del, grill and pizza spots for lunch after days in ports. The best part was the sincere efforts and friendliness of the crew and their consistent attitude everyday.

Ports of call

Belize City, Belize

The city is the least impressive spot, but great things start there. Altun Ha was wonderful if you like ruins. This is the only spot we took a tour and glad we did.

Cozumel, Mexico

Great for snorkeling--went on our own to a place by Interpresidential Hotel that was the spot many tours brought snorkelers. Town was fun, especially off the main street away from the crowds.
Don't Miss: Have a taco a few blocks up from the shopping area at a local spot

George Town, Grand Cayman

Too windy to snorkel--beautiful place--enjoyed swimming off 7 mile beach

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Favorite spot---see it before it is built up. No need for a tour. Walk or taxi to the fishing village---great beach for swim or sitting aroung, or water sports. Vendors are annoying, just keep walking past them unless you are into shopping. Great massages on the beach for $20
Don't Miss: Cat's Meow or other bars for great beers and real Mexican food while sitting on beach
