Review summary

Our first cruise so nothing to compare to at this time but was very pleased and would use the Carnival Cruise line again. Service was fabulous in all accounts. Ship was on time for everything and very smooth for the most part. Very informative of events and staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was awesome and the dinning was very relaxing. Entertainment for the shows was ok but they did their best. The comedians were funny though. Spa was awesome and the steam room was great. The showers in the spa were fantastic a lot of room with shower heads coming out of the side walls. Got to try them out. Excursions were plenty and fun. Got to try the hiking and caving in Balize. Well worth the money. We had a balcony room on the upper deck and was very quiet even above the Phantom theatre.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything was great. Even was able to change our time to the latter dinner without any problem. Waiter was friendly and efficient along with his helpers. Food was excellent and you could order two main meals if you wanted to

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Variety ok, comedians were great but didn't get into the dancers to well. Variety of Legends show was great. Capers were very informative of events going on. Entertainment directory did a great job

Service and Staff

All staff friendly and go above and beyond

Ship Quality

Size was good, could use some more room on Lido deck because of the quantity of people using at one time. Public areas very clean with tissues on the walls to use to open doors. Decor was good, especially like the tables in the pool areas. Didn't get into the purple lights in the dinning area though. Everything very easy to get to.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very efficient service. I loved the animals formed with the towels. Balcony was perfect and we were by the elevators and there was not sound at all. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. I loved the location of our room-- on the phatom side, by the elevators, on the spa side, and above the area where you meet for getting off the ship for the ports.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Still a lot of damage from the hurricane in 2004. Did the buggy and snorkel combo and was ok. Didn't see much of anything in the water and the sand hand bottle caps and glass in it. Tour guide was great though and very helpful.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Nice to get off at a port and not to use tender boats for transportation. Very pretty with organized shops .
Don't Miss: Horseback riding was fun

Belize City, Belize

Don't Miss: Cave tubing and rain forest exploration

George Town, Grand Cayman

Did the tour and it was ok. Didn't get into the turtles or Hell. Guide was good though and the beach is beautiful

Pros: Food quality, Organization of ship, Excursion choices, Cleanliness of ship, Spa showers, Quiet room

Cons: Pools were small and to warm
