The Carnival Mirace was a very nice ship. The staterooms we stayed in were clean but smaller then the rooms we stayed in on the two other cruise lines we have sailed on. The crew provided adequate service but other then the room streward the other service was just adequate nothing special. Having cruised before I found that excursions continued to be over priced in most cases. We booked only one excursion through the cruise ship because of the price. Two of our party went scuba diving at three other ports of call and we only paid one half of what it would have cost us booking through the ship and the service we recieved booking outside was excellent.. In one case we paid $170.00 to include a generous tip for two people to dive (two tanks) when the ship wanted $155.00 per person for a two two tank dive. Service we received from outside operators was extremely professional and very satisifying. Photo service was rather overbearing until you were able to communicate to them that you were not going to purchase all of their overpriced photos. After day three the stopped being so pushy. Internet access was avaialable at 45, 55 or 75 cents a minute. I found this to be rather high priced. Stay away from the game in the casino that pushes quarters. Its fun but you can not when no matter how good it looks. :~)
