Great Itinerary

Room Type: Balcony

The Carnival Mirace was a very nice ship. The staterooms we stayed in were clean but smaller then the rooms we stayed in on the two other cruise lines we have sailed on. The crew provided adequate service but other then the room streward the other service was just adequate nothing special. Having cruised before I found that excursions continued to be over priced in most cases. We booked only one excursion through the cruise ship because of the price. Two of our party went scuba diving at three other ports of call and we only paid one half of what it would have cost us booking through the ship and the service we recieved booking outside was excellent.. In one case we paid $170.00 to include a generous tip for two people to dive (two tanks) when the ship wanted $155.00 per person for a two two tank dive. Service we received from outside operators was extremely professional and very satisifying. Photo service was rather overbearing until you were able to communicate to them that you were not going to purchase all of their overpriced photos. After day three the stopped being so pushy. Internet access was avaialable at 45, 55 or 75 cents a minute. I found this to be rather high priced. Stay away from the game in the casino that pushes quarters. Its fun but you can not when no matter how good it looks. :~)

Pros: Ports of call

Cons: Service was not to the level of other crusie lines we sailed on.

Service and Staff
Room Steward was excellent. Others only average compared to other ships we have sailed on.
Ship Quality
Cleanliness was a high light of the ship.
Food and Dining
Food was good but nit great. Crusiehip advertises a ice cream bar. The actual bar with toppings was only open for a few hours on the days we sailed.
Cabin / Stateroom
Nice rooms but smaller then other cruises we have been on.
The Vegas Shows were great. The comedians we saw were also vary good.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
We dove with a none ship affliated operator. Found dive operator at the end of the pier. Enjoyed our diving,. Reefs were healthier and beauitiful.
Don't Miss: Dive, Dive, Dive
Cozumel, Mexico
Been here several time on ships. Great place to shop and dive. We have a favorite restaurnat here. It is called Lacuzza. Huricane last year destroyed the peir requiring tnders to get ashore.
George Town, Grand Cayman
We dove with a none ship affliated operator. Diving was awesome. Liked the new Harley Shop. We dove with the Stingrays here before. We highly recommend this trip either scheduled privately or through the ship.
Don't Miss: Dive, Dive, Dive
