Review summary

This was a last minute cruise to get away and go somewhere new. Very relaxing. Got plenty of sleep.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room was good, but nothing outstanding

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
One day we found a hot tub that was warm and uncrowded. Usually they were cool and packed. Water park looked real fun and uncrowded, but we opted not to try it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We were able to catch two shows. They were very entertaining. Somehow we kept missing the comedy shows which I look forward to - our fault.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff we encountered were great- kind, courteous, and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The entire ship was clean and well maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin was nice and clean. I think we were under the buffet kitchen. It sounded like a roller derby going on all day and night. There was a leak coming from one corner of the cabin. Hopefully it was just water.

Ship tip

The ship was nice. There was no enforcement of dress codes. Very few observed formal night, which was no big deal, but to see string bikinis walking thru dining areas with almost nonexistent coverups was extremely disappointing especially since most were worn by 300 - 500 pound middle aged women. DISGUSTING!

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Miami was our starting point - big and crowded as expected.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Took a small group excursion thru non-tourist areas. Very pleasant and informative.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

1 out of 5
Took a small excursion thru jungles, to the top of a mountain, and thru the city. Best excursion we’ve ever been on.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Great time. Got to see most of the island, stoped at a “locals” tavern, and then went to a private beach.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Crowded, but smooth and easy.

Most people don’t check out Nassau. And don’t get to see it has some very nice areas and homes
