All staff at port and on the ship are fantastic. We like all 3 port stops as we had been to them before. With Carnival you can be as busy or as laid back as you want. The fact is its a cruise ship, they carry a lot of people, its going to be crowded but hey you are there for fun so go with it. We were only upset without knowing the kids cards were the drink cards and not knowing we did have a Dr. Suess Breakfast which was paid for. You pay for more on the cruise ships than you used too.
Embarkation

We paid the extra to board in the priority line and it was well worth it
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Grandparents and 2 great grandkids. We did not book any specialty restaurants. We ate mostly at the buffet and have no complaints. Could set up a few more drink dispensers for the water, etc. I had 1 mixed drink one day, couldn't tell what it was and tried a different bar the next day and a different mixed drink, same problem, couldn't tell what you were drink. Both tasted like no booze, no nothing, watery tastless so did not order anymore. At $12.98 a drink you want to know what you are drinking. Good thing beer comes in cans.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Kids loved the water park on board. The older one felt there could have been a few more "older" water instead of just the 2 slides but enjoyed all they did.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We all enjoyed the shows and the seat set up is great. We usually came in on the 5th floor to sit up high.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
Kids programs were great and could not say enough wonderful comments about how great the staff is. The 9 year old was anxious to be able to move up to the next level after she peeked and saw their room.
Service and Staff

Cabin / Stateroom

A standard balcony room with a couch that converted to a twin bed and one that pulled down from the ceiling plus our bed. Standard size bathroom, mini fridge, a safe, 2 chairs and a small table for the balcony. A bigger tv would have been nice since the age of the kids we did not stay out late. A good choice of movies. Kids were happy and us too.
Ship tip
Our excursion tickets were in our envelope but we did not know the kids room keys were their bubble drink keys for 3 days so we bought pops each day. We did not have a ticket showing we had booked the Dr Suess Breakfast and had already left the room for breakfast that day and found the message when we returned. Before we left Carnival had credited my account so with no ticket in our packet assumed they overbooked breakfast. These were the 2 items that were upsetting because it was Gramps birthday and kids were all excited to take him.
No excursion. Flew in the day before in case of a delay. Stayed at a hotel that shuttled to the cruise port. It has been awhile since we went out of Miami. Looks the same. All went smoothly. Shuttle driver knew where to point us, baggage stewards were great and saw by our paper had priority and sent us to the correct entry and we were on fairly quickly. When we saw the line we're very glad we paid. Well worth it.
We like Cozumel. Spent 2 weeks on the island last year. If you do not want to do a excursion the port is a great fun place to wonder around. We did the fast jet boat-ask for Boat 2-they gave us one heck of a ride. The island to swim was nice but there were none of the trampolines or water stuff they picture showed in the water. This was a huge disappoint esp for the kids. So do not go by the picture. Nothing in the water to enjoy, if that is why you were going to book this one, don't
We like Belize been here several times. Twice been to Goff Cay for the day for snorkling and great bar-b- chicken but didn't see on the list this time. Rain forest walking on the bridges high in the trees, kids loved and the cave tubing was fun
We have always liked Roatan. We always go to the same beach because the snorkeling is great here and water doesn't beat you to death. It had moved down the beach a little instead of being closer to the rock wall. We were driven nuts by people trying to sell us stuff. Never this bad but it was this time. But the reef isn't out far, you go straight from the beach, its just out a very short distance and lots of fish to see. They do have snorkel gear and life vest you can rent. The reef makes it worth it if you do not want to go out in a boat.
Our luggage was out about 10:40 which stated no later than 11 and was gone next time we looked. We did find our luggage in the row tags given. No matter what you do, its just crowded as you move thru the area. We grabbed a taxi to the airport instead of a pre set up shuttle. It was only $35 plus what we tipped.
