Review summary

The crew was phenomenal, i can't say enough about them. The food was really good. Cruise Director Frankie was friendly and hilarious. Overall, 8.5/10. Wonderful week on a great ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Rumor has it that it was chaotic at 10:30a, but we arrived at 11am and walked right on to the ship. Never stopped walking.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The best food we've had on Carnival yet. Every meal at every venue was great, even the buffet was good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were never bored. Pools and hot tubs were always crowded, but that's always the case.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The only show we took in was Live and Marriage, which is always funny. We saw a PG and an 18+ comedy show, both were pretty funny. Musicians across the ship were good.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our son was in the Club O2 program, he enjoyed himself, except for some typical teen drama

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Absolutely superb. Every crew member was smiling and helpful and went above and beyond

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The interior was dated, but we loved it. Very clean inside. The exterior desperately needs a facelift and coat of paint. The layout was good, most things were easy enough to find.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had 4 people, 2 adults and 2 teens. It was tight, but functional. Very clean.

Ship tip

Take time on the first day to explore and get familiar. A few things are kinda hidden, but the layout is good.

Ports of call

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
Always a fun port day. Pools were packed and it was very hot, so we only stayed on shore for a few hours.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Such a gorgeous beach. Grand Turk is our favorite port. Bring water shoes.

Miami, Florida

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We walked around the forts and saw a bunch of cats and iguanas. Beautiful scenery.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
This was our first experience with Carnivals digital debarkation, and it worked smoothly and efficiently. A very welcome change from the chaos we've experienced in the past.
