Everything went very smoothly and we enjoyed our first cruise
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We had no problems with lines or anything. We were in one of the later groups and walked right through with no lines. We took our own suitcases on board because we were so close to the time we could get in the cabins. Once on the ship we found a place for lunch and then it was time to go to our cabin.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in the dining room for dinner was very good. The food on the buffets were good but it seemed like we were eating the same thing everyday. Not alot of variety.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We played mini golf, and the boys went down the water slide.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
There was always something to do and they were all entertaining. The entertainment staff was excellant.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was very nice and our room steward Sherwin was amazing. He greeted us by name everytime he saw us and always had a smile.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship was very clean
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Size of the cabins are good, we had plenty of room and there is a ton of closet space and shelves in the bathroom for storage. Had a refrigerator and safe which was very useful.
Ship tip
I would recommend the rooms that are between the front of the ship and the middle. It makes it very easy to get to everything.
we did not do an excursion in this port, but we were able to get off the ship and walk around old San Juan and do some shopping because it is so close by foot. We sat in a bar across from the ship and had a couple drinks.
We took a bus ride around the island visiting the dutch side and the french side. Very interesting. We visited Maho Beach and watched some planes fly right over your head, which was really neat.
We took the sky ride up to the top of the mountain and there is breathtaking views from there. I would highly recommend this. We did not do and excursion here, just walked around. Their is a shipwreck museum next to the sky ride and there is plenty of shopping and restaurants right by the port.
