Overall this was a great cruise. It rained 3 out of the 6 days. We weren't able to hit Half Moon Cay because of the weather. However, we still had a great time. One major take away I had is that I will not book an AFT room again and I won't book in June.

We really enjoyed eating in the MDR. Our wait staff knew our names and were so welcoming every night. Also the steakhouse was delicious as always.

The Prime Steakhouse never disappoints. We book it on ever single Carnival Cruise.

The food was excellent. My husband had it ever day for lunch. I feel like there should be 2 stations because the line can get very long.
Onboard Activities

We spent a good bit of time in the arcade with my 11 year old. Also the water slide area and pools. There was always plenty of room and we could always find somewhere to sit.

The DJ and the steel drummer were excellent!! There was always good music playing. We didn't see any shows. We tried to attend one of the comedy shows but with Covid running rampant, we didn't think it was a good idea to be cramp inside with all those folks. It was PACKED and no one had on masks. So we declined.

My daughter enjoyed camp as always. There were a lot of kids on this cruise. More than I had ever sailed with before. So she made lots of friends.

I loved the layout and design of the Magic. I liked it much better than the Vista. All common areas were clean and well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was clean and nice size. We had to have them look at the AC because it just didn't get as cool as on other Carnival ships we've experienced. I believe it may have been because we were in the AFT. This was our first time in the AFT. I won't ever book the AFT again.
Ship tip
Use the kiosk machines so that you don't have to stand in line at Guest Services.
Agree! We love the Magic and it’s layout with decks on 5 and 10 you can walk all around the ship. We like the aft as it is close to aft pool, nightclubs and buffet. Our ac worked well but we always order a fan upon arrival.
Whenever we get rain days cruising, my DH reminds me that they aren’t called “rain forests” for nothing.🤣. Appreciate your feedback and positive attitude. Glad you mostly enjoyed your cruise!
I’m glad you had an overall great cruise on the Carnival Magic. Our first trip to Half Moon Cay was canceled due to lightning and approaching weather. Since then we have been there twice and it is our favorite place. If you haven’t been there before your recent cruise I hope you will be able to on a future cruise.
