Hello, my name is Wyatt England. I just returned from the carnival cruise that left from Norfolk Virginia and embarked to the Bahamas on June 10. The cruise ship was the carnival magic. I am emailing you to inform you how incredibly disappointed I am in the experience. This was my first ever cruise and I was surely let down. I am emailing you to inform you about some things that need to change as I would not suggest this carnival cruise to anyone. First and foremost when we boarded the ship nothing was ready chairs had not been taken out there was no direction given, and there was no food ready for anybody. The only food place that was open was the burger joint and I waited in an over 30 minute line To get food. Throughout the entire trip only one Buffet line would be open requiring myself and my girlfriend to wait upwards of 20 to 30 minutes to eat. Along with that during the day only one or two food places would be open which just seems ridiculous. Food should be accessible to everyone at all times. The cruise itself did not have much for entertainment. The entire trip just felt like you guys were trying to sell us on stuff. Half of the activities involved buying things or purchasing items in order to do other things. Everything on that ship felt extremely last minute. Even the construction of the ship. It was extremely hard to navigate the ship and many other times we were too frustrated to even bother. The elevators were extremely glitchy and did not function properly and would skip floors. Some of the restaurant staff were extremely rude to my girlfriend on her birthday, and one of the spa staff was very rude to her as well. In terms of the entertainment we went to go see flick and by god that was the worst thing I have ever seen. After leaving the theater many others were complaining about how bad it was. The entire time we were on the ship it felt like we were scammed out of our money. The food was awful, the entertainment was awful, the wait staff was rude, The ship was hard to navigate, and by the second day we were just counting down the days until we were back in Virginia. As this was my first cruise I was extremely disappointed, and would not recommend carnival to anybody. This experience has made me never want to get on another cruise again. My girlfriend who is an experienced cruise traveler said out of the nine cruises she had been on this was the worst. I am writing to you in hopes that you can take this information and use it because that ship needs to change. I will also be leaving reviews of this experience on cruise.com.

Absolutely nothing to do on the cruise. All of the events that they had involved purchasing things. Felt like a scam.

The performances were awful. We went and saw “Flick” and by god that was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.

This was so so. A bunch of staff was quite rude to my girlfriend. But personally I was treated well.

The design of this ship makes no sense. It is tight and crammed. And it felt like we were in a maze.

This room was fine. However there was a connecting door to the next room which was full of children. They were so incredibly loud that we had to switch rooms.

While I appreciate your time to write this review, I’m not sure this is fair. In ALL of our cruises, we find that your attitude towards staff and crew is what you give. If you’re negative about everything, then of course it’s going to be a negative experience. We are very much looking forward to our B2B in July and august! And cannot wait to see everything the Magic has to offer!

Been on the magic twice. The last time this past April. Had a wonderful time. No problem with the food or entertainment. It was a 8 day cruise. Loved every minute

This seems like such an unfair review. The comments do not fit the rating! For anyone looking, be sure to read this with an open mind, and keep on reading. We have found most employees are friendly and helpful on the ships. We have also found a trip is what you make it. Breath, relax and enjoy! And, don’t wait until you are hangry to get in a good line!

Embark and debark on this particular cruise went very smoothly. It was the best of all the cruises that left Norfolk this year. 1 star. No way.

We have been on at least 31 carnival cruise and not found one of your complaints and never a rude staff member u should give up cruises

That's too bad that everything wasn't perfect for you and the 4,000+ people on board, I have been on 7 Cruise with Carnival and every one has been amazing!! Maybe Cruising isn't your thing, look into land packages would be better for you and pay for VIP so you won't be disappointed again.

I have to agree that Flick isn't a great show. But the rest of your complaints I don't know. We loved the Magic but this was years ago. Our two post covid cruises haven't been as good as pre-covid but we were still happy to be cruising.

No matter how disappointed you are by the cruise, Carnival will not know about it. The cruise companies do not follow this site or Cruise.com or any other public site.
