This was a great cruise! Ship is a little older and in need of repair but otherwise it was a great experience. We were in an Ocean suite that was beautiful and roomy but the smell of mildew in the bathroom was very strong and caused me sinus issues

Review summary

I love Carnival Cruise Line. The Magic is very nice but does need repair. They are short staffed which I am sure they are working hard at trying to fix. Room steward Conrad was excellent and went above and beyond in getting us anything we needed. The suite was amazing except for the bathroom, but I loved having all that room and lounging on the balcony everyday.

Main dining room food was very good but when you were seated at a table for two they would seat everyone at the same time at separate tables right next to each other. Everyone was served at the same time and if someone kept on ordering another dinner we all would have to wait for our desert. So basically you were served melted ice cream. This happened to us 2 nights. The steak house was terrible, they didn’t have some steaks on the menu and the ones we ordered were fatty and hard to cut, never again. The Italian restaurant was not at all as it should be. We always go at least twice but it of off and staff was down right rude. We tried it again for lunch and it was worst if possible. Like I said we go on every ship it this was terrible, it was the only place where the staff was rude. We never eat at the buffets.

We did Bingo which was way over priced at $58 and a big waste of money. Pool deck had the normal issues of saved seats with towels on them and no one setting in them most of the day, so we never got a seat.

Nicest room we ever had, but showed its age. Bathroom had a nasty mildew smell which caused me sinus issues all week. Bathroom needs a complete make over. Room was perfectly clean all week.
