Great first post-covid cruise. Cruising is BACK!!!
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Unexplained delay caused everyone to be packed into the port terminal, shoulder to shoulder, with many people unmasked, for about an hour. No reason was given for the delay.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Main dining room was excellent. Percival, Mary Ann, and Michael were the best wait staff ever. Food was great. I was very impressed.
Cucina del Capitan (or something close to that) was absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable as well. At $15 a person, it was a steal.
Buffet was a buffet, about average. Desserts were fantastic.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We didn’t use the pools or fitness center, but they were nice when we walked through those areas.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Comedian Sam Demaris was hilarious, we saw him twice.
We did not catch any production shows.
There was a group playing violins in the atrium and they were fantastic.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Percival, Mary Ann, and Michael made dinner very enjoyable and entertaining. We could not have asked for better.
Rio and Bennet took care of us during brunch and breakfast, and they were great as well. Slamet took great care of our room, it was always spotless when he left. The baristas were wonderful, they remembered our order and it was delicious every time.
Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Every inch of the ship was clean and neat. Ship was well laid out and everything was easy to find.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Balcony cabin, conveniently located near the elevators and food area.
Ship tip
Ask for Percival’s section in the dining room if you can. Try the Italian restaurant.
It wouldn’t let me review the ports of call for some reason. Amber Cove was okay, we didn’t do an excursion and we probably should have. Bimini was gorgeous, but the ocean was full of jellyfish so I didn’t spend much time in it. I’d love to go back when it’s not jellyfish season.
