Carnival did an amazing job hosting us for 8 days. The ports were the best! The ship had everything we needed. I would sail the Magic again in a heartbeat!
Embarkation

We had Faster to the Fun and were on the ship by 11 AM although there was not much organization at the port. The extra health paper that we needed to fill out was off in the corner without proper signs and no one let us know we needed to fill it out until after we were in line to board. Still, we got on right when Faster to the Fun guests were called to board.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

There was some amazing food on our ship. The Steakhouse was amazing. The MDR had many yummy options daily. Guys Burgers was just as great as everyone said it would be. The Chocolate Extravaganza at the buffet was so yummy. I have never seen so many chocolate cakes in one place! The buffets left something to be desired at lunchtime but was very good at breakfast time.
Onboard Activities

The Alchemy Bar was THE place to go for a pre-dinner drink. Every drink was a masterpiece and the bartenders didn't disappoint. The Red Frog Pub was also a great place to hang out on a daily basis.
Entertainment

The country show was superb. The performers had the whole theater singing and dancing to the music. The comedians were so funny. Everyone seemed to giggle for each joke.
Service and Staff

Our room steward, Laura, did a great job getting us what we needed everyday and keeping our room clean. The bartenders in the Alchemy Bar were amazing!
Ship Quality

The ship could really use a refurbishment but it has everything we wanted and needed. The only drawback is not being able to walk all of the way back through deck 3 to get to the Southern Lights Dining Room because of the galley. We figured out the layout really quickly and the maps by the elevators really helped. I saw people cleaning all the time which made a great impression, but the ship does still really need to go into dry dock for some issues.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our adjoining balcony cabin was a good size. We really enjoyed keeping the adjoining door open during the day. Also, after our room steward opened up the partition between our balconies, we had so much more space. The ned was comfy and we had plenty of space.
Ship tip
Make sure you do your research about all there is to do on this amazing ship ahead of time.
This port was beautiful. We really enjoyed the music they played for us all day and especially at sail away. We went to Monkeyland. This was definitely the best excursion we could have picked. The monkeys jumped from tree to tree and person to person. It was so much fun! We got to see so much beautiful countryside on the way to it and in the mountains.
It does my heart good when a positive review is shared,as for the most part ,I ve never had even a negative experience on a cruise that would ruin the whole cruise for me !
