Interesting; I thought the safety briefing went smoothly (yes, I was on the same cruise). I am always glad to be able to have it inside rather than in the hot sun. True there are always some people who try to avoid the briefing and therefore make it seem confusing. Sorry your family didn’t enjoy it!
