Review summary

My good friends and I took our older teens on this cruise for New Years. It was a blast to be on the Lido deck to ring in 2020. The ports of call were very relaxing on this cruise. Well worth it.

Embarkation

Smooth embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There was rarely a time that we even had to wait in line for food and there was always a very good selection.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were tons of things to do. This is a large ship so there is even extra choices which was great with having teenagers on the trip.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
New Year’s eve was one to remember on the ship. The DJ was fantastic.

Children's Programs

We had no children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the people we encountered were very courteous and eight year to help us with anything we needed.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
They ship is looking kind of dated on the outside but someone said they thought they were getting ready to change their paint scheme so they were painting them. Inside it seemed that there were leaks in several places that I’m not sure if they were addressing quickly. Other than that our room was clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We chose to have a spa cabin for the first time. It was really great. The amenities that come with that room or well worth the extra money.

Ship tip

Make sure to try brunch in the dining room.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Well organized and easy access.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
We just went to the beach on this port. It was well worth it. There were plenty of chairs and Carnival provided lunch.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
We went to Ocean World and swam with the dolphins. It was beautiful. Ocean World is a fun experience and has lots to do.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Grand Turk has the clearest water I’ve ever seen. The beach chairs must be rented. Margaritaville is close to the water.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and easy.
