Overall, the cruise was okay. Did not exceed expectations but it wasn't terrible. The Carnival Hub app was amazing, user friendly and very helpful! Ports were nice and there was a variety of excursions. Subpar buffet food; but Guy Fieri's restaurants were a true treat! Cruise Director, Simon, was awesome! Loved his high energy!!! Beware, there is no indoor pool and the outdoor pools always have kids in them. Disappointed there was no "grand finale" where the staff was recognized for their hard work and able to rep their countries.

Based on prior cruise experiences, the poor configuration of food stations for buffet caused extra long lines and wait time. Food was just okay. Not much daily variety and quality was sub-par at best. The one thing that really bothered me was the way the bacon was served! Why have a server? Complete waste of resources!
Purchased the soft drink package for hubby and there were too many limitations! Other cruise ships provide a tumbler for a 'TRUE' unlimited bottomless experience!
Guy's restaurants saved the day! Excellent quality and taste.
Onboard Activities

Gym was nice but the added charge for classes was unexpected and a let down. Other cruise experiences on Royal Caribbean at least included a few exercise classes at no charge. Also disappointed not to find an indoor adult pool. Kids made it impossible to enjoy pool time.

This cabin is above one of the entertainment venues. Impossible to sleep during events. This crucial FACT should be advised during booking! Size was adequate, very clean and loved the fridge.
Ship tip
DO NOT bring alcoholic beverages and be cautious of the cabin selection. Also, know there will be lots of children on board. Purchased the photo package and love the way photo hubs; however, the purchased pics were printed on glossy paper and when matte was expected. Disappointed!
Beach was beautiful. Day Your Way Excursion: Good experience and value. You should know the tour route involves several stops to allow passengers to make purchases. Restaurant stop was NOT good! Food was overpriced and even saw a roach. Not a bad thing but should be noted. Also, remember to tip the tour guides.
Amen on the kids and pools.
Carnival does however sell themselves as a family friendly cruise.
What’s REALLY annoying is kids in hot tubs.
