Review summary

Husband and I were travelling with another (first-time cruising) couple. We enjoyed the food, drinks, music, Playlist shows, and ports.

Very smooth despite the pouring rain!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We had dinner each evening in the MDR and breakfast both at the buffet and in the Dining Room. Overall the food was very good. Desserts were excellent. The only complaint I have is the prime rib. I've eaten a lot of prime rib and Carnival's is not good. The "au jus" is more of a heavy gravy.

Piano Bar

Not entertaining...was mangling the songs with her own lyrics. Just play...and she COULD play.

Service and Staff

Standout service from Luby (Alchemy Bar), Lasto (room steward), and Gibson (Pixels Gallery). Slightly disappointed in our dining room team this time.

Someone's always cleaning...

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved layout and double windows which also provided extra storage space. Didn't have a couch but didn't miss it after our room steward brought in a second chair for the table.

Ship tip

Remember that you are on vacation...enjoy yourself...don't let small irritants and/or the occasional rude fellow passenger effect you.

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

We walked down to Jack's Shack for jerk chicken and was not disappointed! Yummo, but note...watch out for bones! Also, the Sandy Vagina (drink) was excellent.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Beautiful, perfect beach day. The most soft, white sand. We rented a clam shell for shade. The lunch provided was plentiful and tasty.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

We did the VIP Dolphin Excursion to OceanWorld and it was great. Reynaldo, our host, was informative, pleasant, and organized. The lunch buffet was good. FYI...the pictures/video packages available for purchase afterwards range from $20-$100.

AMAZING! We were on Deck 2 with FTTF and literally walked down the hall and right off the ship. So smooth!
