We have taken a few cruises now and this cruise on the Carnival Magic is by far our favorite so far.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The quickest Embarkation we have ever had. I am handicapped and ride a mobility scooter plus it was raining so I was concerned but we were on the ship within 15 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We ate dinner mainly at the Northern Lights dining room and the buffet breakfast and lunch. We did eat a special dinner for my birthday at the Cucina del Capitano. All were excellent on food and service. I really enjoyed the Coffee Bar.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We never used the pools or hot tubs but they looked very nice. My wife used the fitness center everyday and said it was awesome.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the staff were more than pleasant and willing to help with anything you need. I enjoyed Radoslava’s (worker in the buffet area) kindness and friendly smile. Best of all was our room steward “Ary”. He was very concerned about our comfort and kept our cabin spotless, but not just an excellent steward he was a wonderful man.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ships layout was easy to maneuver even on my scooter. We were mid ship and had quick access to everything.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our room was not an Accessible room but we still had more than enough room to pull the travel scooter in and park it out of the way. The bed and layout of our cabin was very comfortable. We loved the balcony.
Ship tip
Pick a cabin away from the elevators or you will hear noise at night.
I live in South Florida so we did not do an excursion here however we did arrive a day early and stayed at the Hampton Inn to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The hotel was close to restaurants plus I was able to leave my car here during our cruise and used their shuttle service to and from the port. Way cheaper than parking at the port.
Wife did a train and bus tour around this island. I then rode my scooter off the ship and met my wife for some shopping in the many shops right off the pier. Great time for both of us.
