I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN MY CRUISE THIS TIME. MOSTLY THE STAFF AND CREW ON THE SHIP AS WELL AS THE FOOD AND SERVICE. I MAY BE CHANGING CRUISE LINES IN THE FUTURE

IN THE NORTHERN LIGHTS DINING ROOM THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. THE WAIT STAFF SEEMED AS THOUGH THEY REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO BE THERE. WE DID FINALLY GET A GREAT WAITER, MADE AND HIS HELPERS. THEY WERE AWESOME. CHECKED ON US THROUGHOUT OUR DINNER AND ALWAYS CALLED US BY NAME EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD ONLY WAITED ON US ONE OTHER TIME DURING THE CRUISE. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. WE ALSO HAD ONE GUY THAT WAS HANDING OUT THE LIQUOR SHOTS AND HE WAS AWESOME AS WELL, BUT I CANNOT REMEMBER HIS NAME. OUR ROOM STEWARD, YOYOK WAS AWESOME AS WELL, BUT I DID CALL TO HOUSEKEEPING AS I COULDN'T FIND YOYOK AND TOLD THEM WE NEEDED HAND SOAP AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD BRING IT UP BUT I NEVER RECEIVED IT. ROOM SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. THEY WERE ON TIME, BUT THE FOOD WAS COLD AND SO WAS THE COFFEE.

THE DESIGN WAS OK BUT THE CLEANLINESS WAS NOT. THE WINDOWS WERE DIRTY AND THE RAILING WAS VERY RUSTY AND NASTY LOOKING. THE CARPET IN THE HALL WAYS WERE EITHER STAINED OR WATER STAINED.

THE SIZE IS PRETTY SMALL, BUT I KNOW THEY TRY TO GET AS MANY ROOMS AS THEY CAN, BUT I DO FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD BE A LITTLE BIGGER. OUR BED WAS KINDA ROUGH, WE DIDN'T SLEEP WELL. THE MATTRESS WAS LUMPY. YOYOK KEPT OUR ROOM CLEAN. THERE WAS A MOUSE TURD IN THE BOTTOM DRAWER WHEN I TOOK MY CLOTHES OUT TO PACK.. THAT WAS PRETTY NASTY

MAKE SURE THAT THE STAFF AND CREW MEMBERS TREAT YOU AS YOU SHOULD BE TREATED. IF THEY DON'T THEN MAKE SURE YOU REPORT THEM OR POST A REVIEW.
ALL WE DID IS GET ON THE SHIP FROM THE AIR PORT. I DO FEEL THAT THE AIRPORT AND THE SHIP PORT SHOULD HAVE A SHUTTLE THAT IS FREE OF CHARGE FOR THE PASSENGERS
THE ALTUN HA MAYAN RUINS WERE VERY INTERESTING AND BEAUTIFUL. OUR GUIDE WAS AWESOME. SHE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, COURTEOUS, HELPFUL, AND FRIENDLY. SHE SEEMED TO REALLY CARE ABOUT US AND SHE EVEN STOPPED FOR US TO TAKE PICTURES. THE FOOD THAT WAS PROVIDED WAS DELICIOUS
WE WENT TO EL COZUMELENO AND IT WAS AMAZING, BUT WE WERE VERY UPSET THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE TAXI'S AVAILABLE FOR OUR TIME OF DEPARTURE. WE WAITED OVER 15 MINUTES AND THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED US TO MISS OUR SHIP. LUCKILY, WE WERE PLANNING TO SHOPPING SOME BEFORE WE GOT BACK ON THE SHIP SO WE PLANNED OUR DEPARTURE EARLY.
We always go the specialty restaurants. On Carnival the steakhouse was excellent.. The buffets are always hit or miss. We never experienced bad service on Carnival.
Sorry to hear that mdventris. We sailed on the ship last month and had a wonderful experience. The food and ship were fantastic, as was the service. They genuinely seemed to try to make everyone’s vacation extra special. I wish you better sailing in the future but don’t give up, it can be awesome.
It's funny that for every 10 great / great cruise that you get, there's one terrible. We're on the Magic in May/June. I'll have to see fir myself. We loved the Steak House on another Carnival ship, except for the one lady that worked there. She gave our assigned table to another couple because they wanted a window table. Oh well.
