We were first time cruisers who went with experienced friends which helped a lot. Loved it and plan on doing it again. Booked excursions independently. Bring singles for tipping, drivers, guides, etc.
Cruise personnel want to serve and help you. Had a very good experience.

Attended some PG comedy shows, very funny. DJ’s were great, attended a show/musical that was a little hoakey.

Room steward was great, only ran into him once but room was in great shape every day. Dinner waiter was good, maybe not quite as attentive as he could of been.

Someone always sweeping, wiping down something. Never felt dirty or looked dirty. Someone was always on top anything that needed to be picked up or cleaned up.
Cabin / Stateroom

Very roomy, more so than I imagined. Bright, clean, great water pressure in shower and sink, lots of hot water. View was awesome! Had a refrigerator and a safe.

Did excursion at Royal Palm. Nice beach day, swam and snorkeled. Gonzalo was our waiter, food and drinks a little pricey. Pitcher of Mohitos was very good!
We rented a Cabana on the beach and split it with others. No food or drink included.
Visited Little French Key! It was a bit of a travel but guides/drivers very good and gave us a lot of history. Lots to do on Little French Key. We received 2 drinks each and an excelllent meal of Chicken for the price.
Did Cave Tubing excursion through Carnival. Long bus ride but guide made it very bearable (thanks Iver). Learned lots about culture there etc. The cave tubing was great, there is quite a bit of walking so need to be pretty mobile. Time management was great, included lunch and a drink. Big Lou was our cave river guide and was excellent.
Went to Chankanaab for the day. Lots to do, Tequila tasting was very informational and fun! Snorkeling is great here, had a few umbrellas and lounge chairs. Very reasonable food and drink prices. We bought tickets in Cozumel and saved a few dollars. Lots of shopping! Bring cash, great bartering and even better if you have cash!
