These large Carnival ships are not for us. Better for families with lots of kids. Better for casino and bar people. Not for music or cultural lovers. We also like smaller ships rather than the large mega ships no matter who owns them. We do not like ships with 4,000 or more people on board. I do not agree with your overall rating of 3 out of 4. We really feel it is a 1 out of 4.

Great stuff for kids on top, awful small pools overly crowded places. Bad movie venue on top--especially if it rains . should also offer inside movie place like other lines.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
shows were subpar--saw only one and did not return. Only good thing on ship was a violin trio playing in atrium.

Ship Quality
3 out of 5
ship design not good--too crowded for the facilities offered such as entertainment, pools , small shopping areas, etc. Too much on pictures selling- whole floor it seems.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
Terrible racket throughout every night above room--furniture and/or banging etc. Did not sleep well throughout cruise. Would never recommend this cabin area etc to anyone-horrible.
Ship tip
Avoid cabin area around 2381 if you want to sleep on cruise. Also this cruise is not for music lovers or culture lovers.
Signed up for tour lift and beach chairs near ship--nice venue but extremely crowded and water was murky---no good for snorkeling. Great beach if you like crowded areas etc.
Partly our fault--we have been here many times and chose to do nothing but walk in town. Then it started raining after an hour or so -so we returned to ship. Cozumel does offer great diving, snorkeling and beaches, as well as Mayan ruin tours on mainland.
I feel that a bit more research would have served you well. To each their own but it's not Carnival's fault you didn't like what they had to offer given every bit of it is on their website.
To each their own. We deliberately chose this cruise line and this ship for our 50th Anniversary cruise for its “fun factor”. No thank you to stuffy cultural lectures! Bring on the music, dancing and fun!
