All in all Magic is a nice clean ship. Very friendly staff. I also was up $60 in the casino. I'd sail on her for a 3rd time as well. I do like to try other ships out of Canaveral like the Sunshine. So I will look for a cruise on her if not. Good ole Magic will do. PLEASE NOTE Its a cruise ship and not your living room and go with the flow and have fun. ALSO in my opinion as I stated before never ever an aft balcony!

Port Canaveral was very easy to board. The hotel shuttle dropped me off at 0930. My boarding time was 1230. I got in at 1000 and was on board by 1115. Cabin ready at 1300 hrs.

The main dining room I did once on the first eloquent night. I wore nice slacks, dress shoes and a nice LLBean shirt. Two guys at my table dressed like slobs. The family that was at my table dressed nice. The food was mediocre at best. Know worries though. It also only took 45 minutes to sit, served and eat. That was nice and not long nor rushed.

I only did the aft pool. It was crowded but not to bad. Had a nice time and also the kids were pretty well behaved.

I went to half of the first Production show. I didn't care for a bunch of Cowboys singing. Not interested.

UGG! Never again will I book an aft balcony. The room was of nice size and the balcony offered a nice view. Unfortunately the rail folds inward and cuts out a lot of space and also people from the Lido deck and other balconies can look right into mine unless I was tucked under the canopy. The worst part of it was I could hear the VIBE nightclub from 1030 Pm till 0130 in the Am. Totally horrible. I am not a complainer but on the 4th night I called and complained a bit. They sent a crewmember to listen and he agreed it was no acceptable. Nothing was done about it. It got louder. The next day I was given a 3 day spa pass. I didn't ask for anything but it was nice of them.
Ship tip
Never book an aft balcony deck 6. Yes, my fault for booking late and it was the only balcony left. Now I know why.
I stayed at the Comfort Inn. 4th time there. Very nice and a free shuttle with park and cruise. Stayed 3 nights. Go to the Sandsbar 5 blocks up the road on the beach. Good place with locals and good food and drink.
Desolate. I did not take one of those open air buses with sweaty people. Gross. LOL.... A local who is licensed offered a tour for 5 people for $25. Air-conditioned mini van. His name is Willie. Well worth it for $25 and two hours.
Always a simple fun time. GO to Jacks Shack. He is from Boston. Good food and beer, Kind of pricy but nice. Also walk... Do not take a cab. Just take a left on the beach for about 1/4 mile and he is right there on the beach in full view of your ship.

The Sunshine is a much smaller and older ship. It was the Destiny, but later renamed with a bunch of changes. Although nice, it is still a very old ship. I don't like walking around the Lido at all... feel like I would fall off with the old railings. I have sailed on her as Destiny and Sunshine. Go for the Breeze or Dream, same class different deco.
I don't know his name but it when playing blackjack I was getting great cards. When a girl named Lee took over. Everyone cleared out. She was nice but man! The deck seemed to change when she took over in a big way. It seemed fixed. Yes.. Everyone cleared out.
I loved the aft balcony cabin. it is a further walk (made me feel better about eating all that food. There is a bit more movement bit we actually enjoyed! Booked another one in Feb.
JC.. I went over the deck plan 10 times. No way could I see that the Vibe club midship deck 5 would be an issue.. It was bad. One night I napped on the lido deck eleven till 0130. You know me from the forum and I'm not a complainer. It was just very annoying. Boom, boom, boom. Not a sound of music

Good warning about aft balconies as many cruise ships do have night clubs towards the rear. I'm wanting to try an aft balcony one of these days. I'll make sure to look at the deck plan carefully before I do. Gil seems to be having good luck with them. Thanks for the review, sounds like it was a great time.
Gil. It was a a 4 star. This forum gives an average I guess. I also mentioned why I won't ever book an aft balcony. Also I'll never book aft at all. Yes you are close to the activities but why be close? Mid ship from now on.
