Landed in Orlando and stayed at the La Quinta Inn near the airport, was very handy and had shuttles to and from airport. Next day went back to the airport and caught the shuttle to Port Canaveral. Good set up and embarkation went smooth. Cabin 8336 a balcony cabin was very similar to the balcony cabin on the Carnival Miracle. Room was clean and we just had to call engineering once to fix a light fixture.
Magic is a big ship and yes you do wait in line at Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana, but they keep moving, lunch in the upstairs Italian place is pretty good, no complaints, was a wonderful and relaxing vacation.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was organized and easy, liked the 2 large bottles of water for being past Carnival travelers.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was overall pretty good, not great, but not bad either. Dining room was nice and food overall was decent, nothing I would call outstanding but prepared and plated thoughtfully.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Al;ways things going on, I admit I won at poker and that is always a great thing. Always activities going on, which is great.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Entertainment was definitely hit and miss. During the rock show they played "We Built This City" a song that should never be played in public.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Carnival staff is always friendly, they smile a lot and really try to make sure you have a great vacation.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship design is decent easy to get around, and I love Carnivals motifs (I like loud and garish I guess). For the amount of traffic that Carnival gets on their ships they do a good job at the cleanliness stuff.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Cabin was functional, all I can say it was typical Carnival, perfectly adequate. There was one blinking fluorescent tube that needed replacing. Balcony is great in the Caribbean, beautiful weather to sit and have a drink and relax.
