Review summary

Getting off this ship was the best part of my trip. I am 23 years old and I can tell you that I will never go back on another Carnival cruise.. EVER. The food was terrible and so were the guests on board. It was equivalent to walking around in a country Walmart ( I would know considering the town I grew up in). I wasn't expecting a 5 star cruise to begin with, but this was horrible. If you're thinking about going on a Carnival cruise, please just save your money and go to a resort. You will thank yourself in the long run. And for laughs I received a margarita**? that ( I would imagine) tasted like a leather couch that had been in a smokers apartment for 20 years. There's plenty of experiences for laughs like this one, but I'm sure you have gotten the gist by now..

Not fresh. Bland. And lunch places never stayed open late enough.. Why close the spots at 2:00 when we don't even disembark until 3:30 or 4:00??? Eat at the Italian place every night.. It costs but it's the only thing fresh.

I am sure you have received many negative comments from the pro-Carnivalites. They are everywhere and ready to pounce on anyone who says anything negative about a Carnival ship. Stand fast by your review because this is what YOU experienced. I will take some of the heat off you as the Carnivalites will attack me for this response. Just wait, and read. Haven't been on the Magic yet n I hope to eventually. No complaints here about Carnival. Three trips on the Dream n one on the Triumph. We had I blast on all the cruises

Some people from the "Entitled generation" think people should bow down to them. I am glad they won't be on a Carnival ship anymore, because once you get rid of complainers like this guy, the rest of the people can have a great time.

I loved the carnival magic it was my favorite ship(besides Disney) I thought the service was spectacular and the food was amazing it all what you make of it if you want a boring cruise with no excitement take a celebrity cruise if you what the time of your life on the fun ship go on a carnival

I've been on 7 Carnival cruises on 6 different ships and the Magic was my family's favorite! We had an absolute blast on the water slides, ropes course and kicking butt in corn hole! It was a Halloween cruise, so obviously that added to the fun but I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed in any of my cruises, but I also firmly believe that it is what you make it!

huh, I've sailed the magic 4 times and it's my favorite ship. They have a great staff too. Maybe cruising just isn't for you. Sorry you didn't have a great time. Carnival is my favorite line to cruise on. Although I really like RC too.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise. It's not for everyone. However, carnival cruises are normally quite fun, there is always something to do and SO many different food choices. If you didn't Lennox yourself, my guess was that you didn't really want to. If your drink was that bad, why didn't you ask the bartender to remake it? One swoosh down the water slide, regardless of your age, and you'll be laughing by the time you get to the bottom!

You apparently had your mind set from the get go that you were going to have a miserable time. We just got off the Magic and Vista and had an excellent time. Why would you buy a drink then not drink it? Idjit.

and another you make your trip as fun or as boring you may want it to be we travel in a group and if we dont want do ship activities we carry onboard things like dominoes and cards so that we have things that we like to do as well as ship activities

For every 1 bad review you will find thousands of positive reviews. We cruised the Carnival Sunshine in March had a awesome time (Guy's Burger joint everyday for lunch). Already booked for the Magic in September (cruise number 8 all Carnival).

KroozersRus, I totally agree. I've just came off my 31st and have NEVER had a cruise like crappycruiser. Yes I've had problems but nothing GS couldn't correct. My cruise addiction is one addiction I will NEVER Rehab from!! LOL

A bad day at sea is WAY better than a good day on land. You make of your cruise what you want. From what I've gathered in my cruise history, if you want to have a good cruise you will, if not, well that's up to you.

My DH and I cruised on the Magic in March of this year, my BFF and I cruised her in April. â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸the Magic. Like King135 boom said just another Carnival basher....will have my 31st cruise booked for October on the Elation, 3/4 cruises after she comes out of a month in dry dock....2.0 upgrades. We cruised the Regal Princess at Christmas a few years ago, we're both 62, and won't cruise her again until we get old and snooty...LOL Carnival all the way!!

My family went on our 1st Carnival cruise in April. It was on the Magic. We have no complaints. The crew were friendly. The food was some of the best we've had at sea. My 11 yr old didn't care for Camp Carnival. He went one time & didn't want to go back.

love the Magic! All 6 of us had a blast. Red Frog Rum Pub is great! Music and comedy shows were fun! Crew was friendly and anyways helpful.

we have #9, 10, & 11 on Carnival booked. It seems we've been fortunate, have never had an issue large enough to complain about it. So sorry for your experience.

to be honest, I didn't care for carnival magic myself. Port days were great and I was bored on seas days. I'm sticking to six flags of the seas I mean Royal Caribbean lol.
