Review summary

The cruise director, Dr. E was entertaining 24/7.  Loved the shows we went to: Flick, 88 Keys & Rock & Roll show the last night.  We enjoyed the movies out on the Lido deck.  Guys burgers was the bomb, not crazy on the SMC (super melty cheese) though.  That's just me.  Noervi our guy who took care of us and our room (7321) was excellent.  Three things I would like to see maybe some changes made on how you do them are:  When ever the captain speaks we can't understand him because of his accent.  I heard several people mention that.  Not the captain's fault.  I heard it said "I hope he isn't the individual speaking and giving out our emergency procedures during a real situation." The other was during the shows I mentioned above, my only complaint is during the shows drink waiters are constantly walking in front of you and are really an interference and impeding your vision of whats going on up on stage.  SUGGESTION:  There is always a 30 minute Preshow.  How about using 25 minutes for everyone to get their drinks and the other 5 minutes for the waiters to get their receipts signed.  That should be plenty of time for everyone to get their drinks and then the show is free of any vision impairments.  Someone from stage can make an announcement during the Preshow that everyone will have the next 25 minutes to get their drink orders in.  The last thing is minor but you asked.  I would like to see sliced cheese available at the omelette bar or just available in the buffet somewhere.  Why you ask?  Some people like to make egg sandwiches, (bacon, egg & cheese) either on toast or on english muffins and sliced cheese is the key to the perfect breakfast sandwich.  I know they have it because they make grilled cheese sandwiches through out the day.   LMK what you think, Don & Corinne Smith  (Rm# 7321)

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

This was our first stop. This excursion was great and informative. Our tour guide (Jesus) was great. However what really ruined it was this: Jesus asked if anyone wanted to purchase a Mayan ruins package and it would be ready for us when we got off the bus back at port. Only two of us purchased them. So we got back, I paid my $26.00 for it and we went back to ship. They were sealed up and had the correct names on the front of the packet. HOWEVER back on ship our granddaughter opened up her packet and realized the info inside was in the other person's name. So she was very disappointed and I as well because I just waisted $26.00. But her disappointment was really disheartening. We tried the rest of the cruise to find that family who purchased the other package, but no luck. The other family who purchased one was for their mother who was not on the trip and wouldn't be opened until it was given to her. So they will be disappointed as well to realize the info inside their package was in our daughter's name and not their mothers. We reached out to the excursion desk on board to see if they could help find the family but they never got back with us. So that was a very negative experience for us that stayed with us the rest of the trip.
