Review summary

Was a great trip except Jamaica.  We felt when we got off the ship in Jamaica that we had entered a prison.  We took the hop on hop off into town for $20/person and after getting dropped off, we were offered some pot by some random guy.  Very scarey.

Great size for cabin for 3 people, We were only in it to sleep. My 18 year old son's bunk that folds out of the ceiling was not level so he slept against the guard rail all 7 nights.

Ship tip

When booking try to get your cabin as close to the middle of the ship as possible and not higher than deck 7 to cut down of movement of ship in rough seas. Go to Serenity deck to get away from all the kids.

We didn't get off the ship, either! On our honeymoon we were naive and took a shuttle from the port to the beach bc our excursion canceled. The man drove us to this back woods area and made us get out to buy something from his sister before he would take us to the beach. We refused. Not safe. NEVER AGAIN.

We went to montego bay on a carnival beach excursion. We had so much fun, food and drinks included. The employees treated us great, never felt unsafe. Vendors were few and far between. I understand they are out there. A firm "no thanks" does the job. It is a poor country and they are just trying to make a living.

I was very afraid after reading reviews and I agree when we got off the ship I called it a human trafficking building you have to go through. However we chose a beach excursion to seawind beach resort. They picked us up directly in a bus and took us straight to the resort. It was fabulous. Open bar pools beach kyacks catamarans snorkeling ect. Played games and had a good lunch all included it was like 80 a person. They picked us up in the bus and returned us directly back to the ship. Never ran into scary things like I had prepared myself for. And it was beautiful. Just Becareful of where you go and don't just free lance

I love going to Jamaica but only for Dunns River Falls - that is an amazing excursion. Other than that it is pretty scary. Some guy offered to buy my sister - extremely creepy!

I went to Jamaica on my honeymoon and never felt threatened. You just have to make sure they know you mean no when you say no otherwise they'll keep bothering you. I loved Jamaica and would go back tomorrow if I could

It's okay to smoke pot in your home there and in one city in the street. Pot in Jamaica is common nothing to be scared about just say no thank ypu

Which was the breezes, which isn't there anymore I've heard. I refuse to go there with the negative everyone has told me and it all being the same things. I would love to experience a new place but not if I am scared for my life or will feel threatened

My mom went to Jamaica about 3 years ago and she said she would never go back. They cab driver locked them in the taxi when they got to certain places because "Americans" were not safe there. And she said that guys were trying to sell pot like you said to them and sticking things in their hands while walking. She said she felt threatened 99.9% of the time and refused to leave her hotel.
