Review summary

This was our first cruise.  Embark happened really easily with lots of good help and direction from port staff.  We were thru the steps and ready to board very quickly.  The first day was a bit bumpy but we cannot control the weather.  After we got into the caribbean, it was much smoother.  Cozumel was a nice port.  We shopped then returned to the ship.  Belize was our favorite port.  The mayan ruins were so worth every penny.  The 2 hour drive was absolutely gorgeous and our tour guide Merlene was very knowledgeable.  In Honduras, we went to the beach and it was a nice relaxing day.  Two sea days coming back in were eventful with a 65 knot crosswind causing the boat to list a bit, but it was quickly corrected by the captain and although the weather was a bit rough in the gulf, it was tolerable and we enjoyed the onboard activities.  Rev. Dr. E (our cruise director) was very entertaining.  We enjoyed the casino and serenity deck!!  This may have been our first cruise, but it definitely will not be our last!!  The only very distressing event was disembark.  We checked our luggage and planned to disembark with our zone which was planned for 9:30am.  We waited patiently, and there seemed to be an issue in customs which caused our zone to be called at 10:30.  This started an hour long wait in a very long line to go thru customs.  Finally being clear of the port at 12:30.  Next cruise, we will consider self assist for our luggage.
