Review summary

My last cruise with Carnival. Going back to Royal Caribbean or Princess. Each of the last three cruises the food in the dining room at dinner has gotten worse especially with the brunch.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed that no Christmas music was played anywhere. The dining room has some type of jazz that was horrendous!

Except for Cruise Director that I could do without, ALL of the other employees were absolutely wonderful.

Vacation is time to get away from the everyday rat race and relax is the way i see it.

Wendy what a great attitude and I whole heartedly agree!!! You make of it what you want I'm sure we can all find fault or good with something if we look hard enough. My wife and I have been on carnival, Norwegian , RC and Princess not one that I had a bad time all wee different had their good and bad but worth it!!!!!

My wife and i have been on two other cruises and really love it. We would have started sooner had we known it was so affordable.

wendycruises - that's usually how I look at it to. Cruising has become our family vacation of choice for my wife and I, two adult children, a son-in-law - and this year adding my mom and dad to the group. We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to shelf our concerns for a week and enjoy the food, service, entertainment and ports of call for about the same price as a land vacation that's pretty much self service.

My wife and i are just happy to be able to go on a cruise. There are so many that can't, we have never had a bad time or we just didn't pay any attention to the bad because we were there to have a good time and didn't think about anything that might be wrong.

sometimes it isn't the cruise personnel nor the cruise line itself. some people no matter what just can't be satisfied. I'm surely not saying that's the case. just making a point. all people look at things differently. and anyone can make a bad situation worse or better sometimes. not always I do agree but it's always worth a try to make it the best you can.

That is true!

I don't want arguee or disagree with anyone.

I think all cruise lines will have their bad as well as their good.

Agreed! I just left the Magic today. Food was horrible. The cruise director Dee I could also live without. I'm cruising Royal, just let me know how it is. I've only been on Carnival.

I looked at it really closely and I think we're under the dining room. Maybe that's a little better

Done Princess and the wife and I were the youngest people on the ship. We both were in our 30's. Ship is Beautiful but everything shuts down at 8 PM. Just giving you a heads up.

And Jenny, I'm sorry to disagree with you! We did a 14 day T/A this past April on the Caribbean Princess and had a great time. None of the issues you mention. Food was great, staff were friendly and accommodating and ship was in top shape and always being tended to by staff to keep it that way. I will agree that embarkation at Ft. Lauderdale was disorganized but we lay blame on the port operator, not Princess. We also have cruised Carnival many times and had good cruises with them but will stop short of saying Carnival is superior to Princess. There are so many differences in ships, not just the lines. I can not lump any one cruise line into a "bad" category because in most cases it is the crew that make the cruise, not just the cruise line. In 2013, we sailed the RCCL Jewel of the Seas and had just an OK time. A few months later, we sailed the Brilliance of the Seas and had a great time. Same line, different ships. See where I'm going here ?

Sorry to disagree about Princess they are terrible. the Golden Princess was old and dirty. water system left black in toilets and sinks. most of staff was rude. check in procedures extremely disorganized took 4 and 1/2 hours. food was not great. Carnival staff and service way superior to Princess .

Princess is a class above everything ❤️❤️❤️

Hate to point this out, but Princess is part of Carnival...that being said I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Where ever you cruise next I hope it wonderful! :)
