Review summary

Bad service desk, bad excursion desk, they try to rush you because they are busy they don't care, dinner we have to wait 30min-1hour,they don't take reservation, they said they are too busy, not enough staff and table , so you have to wait,when you get in the restaurant they rush and kid out , if you have young kid don't eat at the restaurant,

I just got off the Magic and it has its ups and downs. My biggest complaaint was having to wait in long lines at the cafe on deck 10 and the smoking. I did have a good time but its anoying always having to wait in long lines for the buffet, water slides, ropes course, picking up your liquor, going through customs, etc... I felt like a sheep in the flock. I didnt get that experience on my other Carnival cruises.

I ALWAYS do my time dining on Carnival and luckily never have the problem that you mentioned. I am now on Platinum level so I have been on most of their ships. I try to dine early so that there are always tables available. The problem is not my time dining, it is the ship's problem not assigning more staff to seat the passengers. I have never been rushed through dinner, either. Hopefully you will not have this problem on future cruises.

We couldn't have had a better experience. If you don't like anytime dining, change it next cruise. We had anytime with no complaints!

I've not tried anytime dining; usually do late dining. I've never had an issue being rushed and my water glass was always being refilled. Also the table next to us had 3 children, all under 6 (Two families) and they loved the head waiter so much! He would let them come and dance with him when they did shows, and took pictures with him. Of course like any restaurant I'm sure staffing varies.

Just got back home from our cruise on the Magic. Everything was great including the dining room staff. We had to wait only one time for anytime dining but that is always expected for any large group. The entertainment was absolutely wonderful, great, talented dancers and singers all around. The Cruise Director, Dr. E was so entertaining, funny and the best Cruise Director we've met.

12 Carnival cruises and counting, NEVER had a bad dining experience. Wait staff are always very professional and work their rear ends off to get you taken care of. Mason2x hit the nail on the head.

Anytime isn't bad but just don't complain when you have to wait for a seat. You don't have to wait at all when you do assigned seating

If you chose your time dining that's kinda your fault. If you chose an assigned dining time then you go to dinner the same time every night and get served. You did your time dining, that was your mistake
