Review summary

We are a family of 4 (mom, dad, 8 yr old boy, 7 yr old boy) and this cruise was fantastic for us! The kid-focused activities are plentiful, and we didn't even enroll them in Camp Carnival (the 'daycare' on the ship.) The water slides are fantastic, mini-golf was fun, the ropes course is outstanding, and the Suess at Sea activities were a huge hit. There is always food available (even in the buffet, the downtimes between meals were short) and the staff on board was excellent. I highly recommend this cruise for anyone looking for a fantastic family vacation. We did the Western Caribbean route, but any route would be just fine - we didn't do it for the ports as much as for the activities on board. The ports were just an extra bonus, and truthfully, we didn't stay long in the ports, as we enjoyed some time on the ship without as many people there! :)

The location for this cabin is fantastic - middle of the ship top to bottom and middle of the ship front to back. However, it is directly above the Red Frog Pub, so we did hear drums and the bass of music until after midnight most nights. That, and the bean bag toss out on the balcony of Red Frog was right below our cabin. The doors to the outside are extremely soundproof, but you could still hear the thud of the beanbags against the wood. If you are a light sleeper, consider another cabin. If you aren't a light sleeper, then you'll be just fine.
