Overall, it was a great first cruise. There were lots to do on the ship itself. The food was good and the adult drinks were fantastic.
Embarkation

Easy. No wait. We arrived 30 min prior to our appointment time and they lined us up 15 minutes later. We were on the ship within 20 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Main dining rooms were great, albeit a little slow getting condiments for the kid courses. By the time the food was brought to our tables, they were warm (vs hot) most times. The food quality was great in the main dining room. Buffets were pretty good. The ice machines were often out of ice during the day - I had to check 2-3 machines before I could get ice at times. Other than that, the food was good.
Onboard Activities

Excellent. My 9 year old loved Camp Ocean. I really enjoyed the comedy show, movies on the Lido deck and anything run by Nono, the cruise director. She was spectacular!
Entertainment

They were all lively and spirited. The America Rocks stage show was fantastic!
Children's Programs

Absolutely loved Camp Ocean. Tons of planned activities and prices for the kids. I felt my daughter was safe and secure there and the check-out process was always thorough. They definitely exceeded my expectations.
Service and Staff

Loved the stateroom staff! Always friendly and accommodating. Our dining room waiters, Michael and Dewa, were awesome! Enjoyed their dancing as well. The buffet staff were swift in cleaning the tables, which was appreciated, given how many folks were in and out of the dining room.
Ship Quality

I noticed the staff always cleaning...it was great. The Lido deck always had a bizarre rotten egg smell to it, but it didn’t bother me too much. I heard others complaining about it, though.
Cabin / Stateroom

The king bed was 2 twin beds moved together, but it was superbly comfortable. The couch intended for the 3rd person was hard and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend an adult who is paying for room be forced to sleep on that.
Ship tip
Be prepared to walk. The ship is huge. The elevators were slow on the first day, but fine on other days. The safety drill is excruciating...standing out at the muster stations backed in like sardines only to be shown how to put a life jacket on (they don’t make you actually do it or hold anything). It was hot and air didn’t circulate well there. This was the worse part of the trip.
Didn’t do an excursion. Walked to Junkanoo Beach. As soon as you get off the ship, you will be yelled at for hair braiding, cabs, excursions, etc. It’s a bit of a madhouse. Just keep walking, if you don’t want these services.
We were asked to leave our rooms by 8:30, only to sit in the smokey casino (the elevators were extremely slow and packed, so we couldn’t get to the Venetian Palace on deck 3). We sat there until 9:30 until our deck (9) was called.
