I was told by another passenger on our last cruise that the WhatsApp worked for his family. Internet was not required. I’m not 100% on its validity, we are prepared to try it on the 30th. Anyone hear something about that?

Oh and if you prepay for the social media package it's $4 a day if you wait until you get on the ship it's $5 per day. The hub I think is a flat $5. But again, you get the messages hours late. LOL

The Carnival Hub app is $5 and you can chat. But you get the messages super late. I've always done the social media package. That way we can DM each other and we get the messages right away. That's how I kept up with my teenager and my friend on the ship. It's also great because you can also keep up with folk back home.
