It was a disappointing trip because of the ship service, but I had a wonderful time with my daughter.

Review summary

It was a disappointing cruise as far as activity and true cruise experience. It was very overcrowded.

It was very easy and smooth. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We went to the main dining room the first night, but was very disappointed in the food and food options. My daughter is a vegetarian and strongly dislikes mushrooms and eggplant which were the only options and we were told no accommodations or alterations could be made. The dining room was also very loud and crowded so we had trouble hearing the waiter and table mates. The buffets were very good and staff were friendly and helpful.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
The whirlpools were overly crowded to the point you could not use them in all areas of the decks. There were no other options as we were only interested in the pool and whirlpool and shows.

The Fun Shops

2 out of 5

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the variety of stores were limited. There were extremely limited low end to mid-level options in price and items.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The ship's stage shows were poor. The Flick show had technical difficulties and played out as a chorus concert. The Love & Marriage show was entertaining, but the selection of the "Wild" couple was vulgar. The best options we had were the comedy shows. For the most part they were entertaining and had a great audience.

Children's Programs

My teenager was absolutely not interested.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Overall the service and staff were very courteous and friendly.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Our room was always clean and was nicely designed. The common areas were decent, but the ship layout was small for the volume of people on this ship. It was always crowded and noisy. The only place for quiet relaxation or to hear conversation was in your cabin.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The overall comfort, size, and cleanliness of our cabin was very good. We have no complaints, but there was nothing outstanding about the cabin to rave about.

Ship tip

I would recommend picking another ship and possibly another cruise line.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

3 out of 5
This was not an excursion location. It was a point of departure for us.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

2 out of 5
We found a Hop On/Off shuttle that took us to a private beach, but we were limited to 2 hours at this beach for an all day excursion that cost quite a bit of money for the two of us. The beach was very nice and not crowded, but again we were VERY disappointed at the limited time. Freeport itself was sad. It still has not recovered from the past hurricanes and the excursions were very expensive.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
This port was much prettier, but the beach was a disappointment. We did do some shopping, but felt there was not anything truly native to the location for shopping or culture experience. Again the excursions were very expensive.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Again, this was organized and smooth.
