I was on the Miracle last year and I had the perfect Balcony cabin. I selected a cabin close to the staircase and the deck right under the lido deck so I spent very little time walking everywhere unless I chose to. I stayed on the Serenity deck in the pool most of the time. But that is what I like to do when I'm on vacation.

?? There are stairs and elevators at both ends and the middle of the ship? Ive stayed in the back, middle, and front of the ship and don't notice much difference in the amount of walking I do. As I said earlier, if your the type who doesn't want to walk a lot... either A) Cruising isn't for you, B) You need to do better research to pic the small ships and perfect cabin placement to be centrally located C) just take a different vacation. I just don't get people who take cruises then complain about walking?? ... What did you think was going to happen?? Did you just blindly book a cruise? Did you do ANY research or look at any pictures to see deck layouts, sheer size and scope of these ships? How did you think you were getting around on it? How about getting off in port? Did you even look to see where the ship docked? What is around the ship? How far to anything you might want to see or do? Blind sheep... lol

I get the lot of walking comment. We just got off this ship. We had an aft-balcony and to get anywhere you have to go to the middle of the ship. It's a lot of walking and at midnight that corridor just gets longer and longer! I'm not a fan of the layout of this ship. It's one of the smaller ones and we did less walking on the Dream.

Even a Disney cruise will be a LOT of walking... gee, these are BIG ships.. aka.. A LOT OF WALKING!! lol. They just need to look for a small ship, or river cruise, or go on a vacation where you sit on your butt, or ride a scooter chain everywhere you go. I agree with KatieVP... walking burns calories, and part of the fun of cruises is exploring the ship!!

A thought maybe try a Disney cruise instead.

Agreed Martin. My husband and I have been on 4 cruises with carnival and we take advantage of everything the ship has to offer! We are in our room very little, so we are out walking the ship and having a great time. 😊

EVERY modern cruise ship has a lot of walking... If you want to sit on your butt, stay home.

Comedy shows last about 30 or 40 minutes
