Review summary

Cruise terminal 2 in Galveston is in the process of being remodeled so we had to wait in a tent that had been connected to the terminal. This would not have been so bad except that the wait was over a hour and a half. We had a group of 15 people in 4 different cabins go on this trip. At embarkation, my parents were considered priority because mom was in a wheel chair, which I am glad for, but the rest of the group was seperated from them. My parents were not sure what to do so we were not fond of this. Once onboard, our rooms were great as usual. This was the first time I have ever had an ajoining room and I loved it with all the kids. It made it much easier for them to go back and forth between the rooms. The muster drill was out on the deck by the lifeboats. We were very crowded and it was hard to see and hear. On the past several cruises the muster drill was held in the dinning rooms which I think is much better. The layout of the ship was a bit difficult to navigate. Camp carnival was right by serenity deck. The room steward in two of our rooms was great, but the one we had in the other two rooms was not great. She kept the room clean but we never saw her. She never aknowledged us by name as we have became accusomed to on carnival cruises and the one time we did see her, she was cleaning our room and acted like we were bothering her because we needed to get something out of our room really quick. We attended the Dr. Seuss breakfast and it was amzing. The kids and adults all had a blast. The staff did a great job making sure it was fun. Debarkation was long and difficult escpecially with mom in a wheelchair. We had to fight to even get her on an elevator and people kept pushing past us as we were in line trying to debark.

The cabin was nice. We really enjoyed the room adjoining with room 2247. The TV remote only worked part of the time but not a big deal since we were only in there to sleep.

Ship tip

Carnival Liberty is a nice ship. She is a smaller ship in the fleet. She has had the 2.0 upgrades so there is Guys burgers and such.
